Awesome game by Pedro

What we saw tonight was the Pedro of old, throwing 7 innings, allowing only 3 hits, and throwing in the 90's on every fastball. The Cards really have not put up much of a fight, their pitching is way too weak, and what is up with Scott Rolen? This series will be over quick if either the pitching or the Cards bats start working.

Pedro got out of the 1st inning by the skin of his teeth, courtesy of a great throw to the plate by Manny. A slow start notwithstanding, it was a dominating performance to be proud of. Let's hope Derek Lowe brings his "A" game tonight, and the Sox are able to wrap it up quickly before the Sox bats start to cool off and momentum shifts.

Pedro was losing control of that first inning, then was able to settle down and dominate for the remainder. Overall, he gave a good performance. Lets see if the Sox can wrap this thing up tonight.

Pedro was great,The reason the Cards are not in it this series is starting pitching. Not one of their starting pitchers has gone more than 4-1/3 innings, they do not have a Mussina or a schilling or even a Pedro.Their closest pitcher to a stopper is Carpenter who is injured. That is the difference in this series IMO.Their starter tonight is Jason MarQuis and from what I understand has not pitched to well as of late. But it's not over and a team can come back down 0-3 so im glad to see the team is not getting over confident..

Pedro's post game interview sounded like he will not be back next year..
I think you're right there. Boston's not going to offer the money that another club will put up when he goes free. I believe this is why he made the comments earlier on that the Yankees were his daddy. He's trying to become liked by possible teams/fans where he may join up with. In part, it's how you market yourself. I think he's going to go where the money is, and the Yankee's may be willing to fork over the dough.

I seriously hope Pedro would not go to the Yankees, for some reason i cannot see him selling out like Clemens did.

I cant believe the Cards are choking like this...1982 keeps getting farther and farther away.
