As some of you know, we here at Avant Labs are huge fans of MMA. We decided to take our fanboyism one step further, though, and sponsor a fighter. I mean, what better way to show how much we love the sport than by helping the talent along?

And so we've teamed up with the fine folks at Scientific Street Fighting (Invalid Link Removed) to sponsor pro MMA fighter Jonathan Ivey. Jon is a very entertaining and skillful fighter that has a lot of potential. In fact, I've never seen a big guy like him pull off submissions quite the way he does.

Uh where my eyes decieving me or did he straight up break that one young mans arm during one of the wrestling scenes that took place in the gymnasium on the wrestling mat? Also how on earth could anyone hope to develop a technique to counter his style. That boy was getting flocking GORLILLA on his opponents:nutkick: :nutkick: :nutkick: I don't think I've ever seen some of the stuff that guy was pulling off anywhere but in the WWF? Except he was clearly hitting his opponents full force...and with very very bad intentions.

Is Mr. Ivey going to be popping into this or the Avant labs board for an interview or by chance does he already post/will be posting when he's not savagely beating people.

BTW...The clown outfit is such a nice touch.
 
He probably did break that guy's arm in that grappling match. If you don't tap quickly in a submission, it's bad news!

Yeah, some of his technique is pretty funny. He's very entertaining.

He reminds me of a big white Sakuraba.

I'll see if we can't get him to sign up and talk to some folks.
