Mike OHearn utilizes this principle of power bodybuilding very well. As does Stan Efferding. I agree with going heavy on core lifts and focus on hypertrophy on the auxillaries. I've found that alternating weeks between heavy core/hypertrophy auxillaries and hypertrophy core/heavy auxillaries is a very efficient way to build lean strong muscle.
