Article: Supplement Liver Damage Case Studies

IMO its never a good idea to take fat burners after fasting for 3 weeks (or fatsing for any long period of time). with the amount of dietary supplements sold especially fat burners to see a few cases of liver problems with the amount of people taking them isnt very comclusive. anything taken in excess or other than by the instructions on the label can be dangerous. just like with Ephedrine, it can be used safely at recommended doses but with someone with health problems or over weight/obese might not be healthy enough to handle the same doses. do your homework before ingesting any supplement.

I would be willing to bet more people suffer acute liver failure in a day due to the use of FDA approved drugs than probably those who have from using dietary supplements in an entire year or more. Rockstar Energy drink? Yeah right.. that guy was drinking a lot more alcohol than he let on..

Why are they highlighting green tea extract in the first two? And as far as these claims go, were all effing stupid to believe that the people who claim they don't drink actually do not drink, because no one lies to their doctors... many of these are pre existing issues exacerbated by supplement use with poor diet and dehydration I'm sure, hell the guys could have been abusing ph's for all we know! Just because people abuse supps and don't take care of themselves just try to blame supplement companies because they are idiots. Like people that black out using fat burners before running a marathon

This is true without a doubt. Pure acetaminophen (not to mention the FDA approved opiate pain medications, barbiturates and the like) is responsible for more cases of acute liver failure than all supplements but together, several times over.

Worst article ever.

People are generally stupid. "I only took 30 mgs of SD for 8 weeks and drank two bottles of wine a night, I don't understand why my liver exploded!!?!???!"
