Article: Stretching Is BS

I don't stretch at all and I believe it's overrated but ...

The article kind of slams "warm-ups" too. THAT - I do disagree with somewhat. I know some overdo warmups - but I can tell you, as a 50 year old man - they help.

I really don't think the article takes into account "weakest link" kind of holistic thinking. Sure ... looking at a healthy muscle - maybe it doesn't need to be warmed up too much.

However, what about a guy with herniated disks or chronic tendonitis - or any other of the innumerable ailments that afflict weight lifters? What about the fact that a warmup reacquaints your body with the proper form for completing an exercise before it's fully loaded to max capacity? I don't know anyone who weights a bar to 500 lbs and then performs a deadlift on it cold.

Warmups have their place.

garbage read but that's just my opinion

Lots of contradictions including "Dynamic stretching is also unnecessary, though some of the most effective warm-up drills are dynamic stretches."

How can a dynamic stretch as a warm-up be very effective but dynamic stretching be unnecessary?

my muscles always feel better when stretching after some hard cardio.. there's gotta be more to it cause it helps me feel less stiff
