I don't know about noticing any strength gains from any protein, but I get more digestive issues from whey > results for the price. I use Pea protein a lot and get pumps from it and feel full.

Ironically, if a study came out saying dirt from North Carolina boost test levels....people would start buying North Cac-a-laki dirt extract.. haha
 
wait the placebo outperformed whey??? This would mean whey is catabolic? Maybe from French cows.
 
I drink rice protein all the time. They've also found it to be as effective as whey. Whey is over hyped. Never made me feel good. I prefer sunwarrior protein powder. Just feels healthier.
 
I almost exclusively use pea protein and I make more gains than my friends who use whey. That's just annectodal evidences but if you research the other studies on plant-proteins (pea and rice) you'll see that there isn't very much any difference for muscle building with those rather than with whey and there's some health benefits to using them. Also it's a good idea to switch the type of protein you use one in a while.
 
Pea protein is great. Treats my stomach better than whey. When I diet I eat TONS of peas.

Peas seemed to be the only veggie I craved growing up, then when I saw Olympia Labs Pea Protein in Vit shoppe like 6 yrs ago, I went to it. For me, since about 2001 I couldnt take any whey. Would just bloat me like no other day.
