Macros win over calories every day... they go hand in hand, but your macros are more important as at least if you're bang on with those targets every day, your calories will fall in to line, but it obviously doesn't work the other way round. In my experience, people need FAR more education on macros than they do on calories, because in and of themselves, counting calories ALONE won't get you long term results. I still encounter people who watch calories but think they need to virtually cut out fat from their diet. My sister for example won't eat avocado, but will happily eat a bag of 'low fat' crisps. It's just ridiculous.
...So there's no difference between a high carb diet and low carb diet in terms of weight regulation? I'd definitely disagree. If my proteins and fats are the same and the only difference is my carb intake , if it's low then I'd definitely lose more weight then of it was high.

If you're eating 2000 calories a day. 600 from protein. 400 from fat .1000 from carbs. There. Is a huge difference in body composition then if you were taking in 850 from protein. 650 from fat and 500 from carbs. It's more about quality of food and not the calories in my opinion.Do you really not see how this is flawed? lol If you want to compare high carb vs low carb, you need to keep the total calories equal.
