Article: All About Betaine

Did anyone notice the picture is Betaine HCL, not Betaine anhydrous. No wonder so many people are getting confused.
 
The stuff seriously messed up my stomach.

Here is the problem. Betain HCL is a supplement to add acid to the stomach for those who have trouble digesting protein. If you take too much it will burn a hole in your stomach and hello ULCER! Betaine Anhydrous is a great supplement for lifters, otherwise known as Trimethylglycine (TMG). The article is great for information but it did not warn people about the difference between the two forms. To make matters worse they showed the wrong form in the picture. So unless someone knows the difference, they will get what’s in the picture and then wonder why their guts are torn up.
To make a situation even worse some vendors are shipping the wrong stuff. If you order this it should be white fluffy power that is slightly sweet. If it is white grainy and really sour, you got HCL and wasted your money. Hit the forum to see for yourself.

I didn't take the betaine hcl. I bought the betaine anahydrous. I actually take betaine hcl sometimes and it doesn't bother me at all but the betaine anhydrous really does a number on my stomach. I felt bloated and had no apatite at all for hours after I took it.

TMG is where the benefits are, not in the HCL. So if you're using HCL you are literally not getting any performance benefits from it.

Did you not read what I wrote lol I take betaine hcl for digestion occasionally. I bought tmg/betaine anhydrous and it gave me bad sides. Not worth it. Other people seem to be fine but not me. I'm not taking that **** again haha
 
This stuff really works for me but not taken at the periods before exercise. Used as a preworkout, I become really sleepy and lethargic even with a scoop of EVOL or Noxipro (dmaa version). But when taken before bedtime that sleepiness gets me in a REALLY deep sleep. I usually take 750mg - 1g with 10-20g whey isolate, 2-3g monohydrate, and 2 scoops Biogro. Recovery is incredible.

I'm assuming based on the studies done on GH , that is the culprit for my drowsiness? Either way I highly recommend it, with it without the extras I included.

So your saying Betaine Anhydrous is the exact same thing as TMG? Doesnt matter which I choose between the two?

They are synomynous, yes.
