Arnica Montana is a herbal extract which is said to have anti-inflamatory properties and can help heal wounds and apparently tenonditis as well. I suffer from at the very moment probally stage 1-2 tendonitis in my tricep right above the elbow i've tried various excerises to to strengthen the tendons and i feel they have helped a bit focusing on the ecentric contraction but the symptoms still linger allbeit not as bad as last year.
A friend refered me to arnica and gave me a tube of a muscle rubbing gel that has arnica among other herbal ingredients in it. Has anyone every used this herb to try to heal tendonitis or to just reduce inflamation.
I googled it, and to my surpise there was some articles on it doesn't appear to have any clinical studies besides some mention on the University of Maryland site. There are also oral pills of Arnica you can take but are toxic to the liver if taken in high doses and some sides may occur. But using a topical cream/gel not only eliminated any toxity but helps more with tendonitis.
Any thoughts opinions critisim on this herb its not really a supplement but thought this was best place.
