PHOENIX, Arizona (Reuters) - A hefty bystander at a road accident in southern Arizona heaved a car clean off a trapped teenage cyclist, possibly saving his life, police said on Friday.

Eighteen-year-old Kyle Holtrust was struck by a car as he peddled along a Tucson highway late on Wednesday and pinned beneath it, city police said.

Tucson paintshop worker Tom Boyle grabbed the Chevrolet Camaro car and lifted it, allowing the driver to haul the injured cyclist clear.

"He lifted that side of the car completely off the ground," police spokesman Frank Amado told Reuters by telephone.

Amado said Holtrust was being treated in hospital, and was expected to make a full recovery.

Local media said Boyle is 6 feet four inches (1.93 meters) tall and weighs 300 pounds (136 kg).

"It was outstanding," Amado said. "It is quite unusual to have that strength."

Aww jizzle! It pays to be big if it saves someone's life naw mean? Although the Chevy Camaro's are generally two-door cars. It's gotta be a thousand pounds at least though.

I wonder if they drug tested the guy that saved the cyclist, or even the cyclist for that matter. ;)

This may stir up up a movement for mandantory drug testing for all potential heroes. I remember back in the day when heroes were under 200 pounds and could barely lift a bicycle!!!Invalid Link Removed

Steroids saved yet another life, when has smokes done that. Oh wait they kill people every year, but their totally legal.

Jesus...an 89 camaro being picked up off the ground is no easy task. what a strong mofo!

Too bad he's gonna get a life sentence for teaching young potential heroes that steroids are the way to save lives...

If the guy tested positive, would he have to put the car back on top of the kid

If a piece of shiyat 89 Camaro landed on me, I'd somehow find the strength to push it off..because I am not going down like that.
