Are you obese?

At 5'8" tall, 200 lbs and about 9% BF, my BMI is 31.

I qualify as obese!

I'd have to shed 42 lbs just to get to the top end of the "Normal" range. Anyone else an obese bastard?

this is almost funny. I weighed 220 at the beginning of feb whne i started cutting and to look at me i was definitely not obese. now i weigh 204 and am at the hi end of overweight range. if i got to the high end of "normal" i'd need to loose 36 lbs...and would look like a walkin skeleton....not a chance! i look my best in the 180-190 range.
 
I doubt there are a whole lot of members here whole even come close to the normal range......maybe over at runnersworld.com? lol
 
BMI is such a joke. It's funny to look at. I guess their right I'm just a fat tub of lard sitting here with 9% bodyfat. I wonder if there's actually people who still use this? I really hope not. Late
 
When they do surveys to find out if Americans are overweight, etc, they use BMI. That's why you get these skewed results like 60% of Americans are overweight... yet everyone dosn't have thin bones or no muscle.
 
The BMI scale is crap. Another overcomplicated approach to doing something easy. I am in the middle range of overweight.
