AP + Fenugreek = Hypoglycemia

Hey all. I have been on AP for almost a month and a couple weeks back I started my post cycle therapy using Restore, Alpha Drive XL, Nolva and Fenugreek.

I was taking 500mg of fenugreek three times per day in the first week of PCT and all was fine. This week I started taking 1000mg twice a day and have noticed a strange but disturbing side effect. For the past few days, I have had noticeably blurred vision.

I found a web site that stated that fenugreek has blood sugar lowering properties so I'm wondering if the fenugreek together with my 3 - 4 doses of AP each day are causing me to go hypo and thus causing the blurred vision.

Any thoughts?

In any case, I think I will be discontinuing the fenugreek tomorrow to see if the situation improves.

What were the sides precisely? Were you feeling tired? Weak? Or you just had vision problems? Maybe try to increase a bit your carb intake gradually, like 10 grams per meal, and see if it helps.

Now that you mention it, I felt pretty wiped all week. I'm taking in a lot of carbs (oats, brown rice, etc.), especially after dosing with AP, but I suppose I can always bump it a bit.

The only thing that changed from week 1 to 2 was that I increased my daily dose of fenugreek and split it two ways instead of three (i.e. 1000mg twice a day vs 500mg three times a day in the first week).

Nolva can cause this, take it before bed.

I would try to bump the carbs a little bit, you will be lowering your nolva so keep us updated on how it goes.

Switch over to Scivation's Fenotest and this should go away. Fenotest has the test boosting actives of fenugreek in it, so you won't have the blood sugar lowering effects.

Thanks for the tip. I'm in Canada though so I'll have to order it from NP and it usually takes a couple of weeks to get to me. Good to know for my next post cycle therapy however.

i'm hypoglycemic and fenugreek messed me up for days before I knew what was causing it. It may be good for diabetics cause it lowers blood sugar but not ones that struggle to keep the sugar up. I would avoid it.

Fenugreek does that to me by itself, it has serious effects on blood sugar. No matter the amount of carbs if I take more then a gram at a time I get bad "sugar headaches". I would drop it all together myself, or like someone else suggested to with fenotest.
