Anyone know anything about OSCommerce?

I downlaoded the Oscommerce program, along with OHOtriad so I could fool with it before I am ready to publish, just to see what it can do. The problem is, I cant even get started. I try to click on the install icon for oscommerce, and the computer cannot recognize the file, and it couldnt be found online. Any help in at least installing this thing so I can okay with it would really be appreciated.

It is the program that powers such stores as leagl gear, 1fast400, mass-nation, and the site-sponsored store here of which I cannot think of the name.

The installation directions are sparse, if any. that is why I asked here.
 
Custom,

(1) Upload the source files to your server.
(2) Install a database and user permissions for the database.
(3) Run the install script.
(4) Log into the admin side and start customizing per your needs.
(5) Modify the source code for your graphics, etc.
