Anyone here aboard Al Asad?

Anyone out there currently stationed aboard Al Asad? Was out there Jan-Aug 05 and will be returning in Jan.

Was just wondering how the base has improved since I left, particularly the gyms and the chow halls.

I was on the south side last time and will be on the north side for this rotation.

Y'all stay safe out there and will see y'all soon.

Thanks for the support. Like I said, did 7 months there last year, actually looking forward to getting back there again.

Al Asad is one of the better places to be in Iraq. I wont try and convince you that it is in anyway comparable to places like Fallujah or Ramadi.
