Anyone have any natural remedies for panic attacks

Back in the day when i used to take ephedra, yohimbe and caffeine by the truckload i used to get panic attacks. Since cutting the combo out i hardly ever get them. I may get one every month or 2 but the experience is still very unpleasant. I will usually get them after a night of drinking while im hung over or when i take stimulants on an empty stomach. The problem is that it hits out of nowhere. I can have 40 hangovers and on the 41st one i will have a panic attack and then go another few months without experiencing one. I dont feel i need any meds like xanax and was hoping there is something natural that can help.

i saw a study awhile back that said people that meditate on a regular basis have been able to eliminate their panic attacks. dont know how true that is but i read it on yahoo

phenibut,gaba,5-htp,......research these.....they are imo the 3 best options

If you've ever been clinically diagnosed with panic disorder you need to have some sort of benzodiazipine(xanax, ativan, valium) on hand for emergencies.

The tricky thing with panic disorder is you never know when the attacks are going to hit you. However, your adding severe insult to injury by adding stimulants to what sounds like a well known panic problem....

The drinking is pretty much a non issue. I only drink once a month if even that. Its just that in the past it seemed like they came on days when i consumed alittle to much, usually after weddings or parties.

Me too. Alcohol can jack me up in bad ways sometimes.

I second the L-theanine recommendation and would also recommend Gingko, Rhodiola, and lemon balm.

Ive been looking into L-theanine, i also like the looks of x-dream for relaxing at night. Would taking the 2 of these supplements be overkill ?

I've combined them....but not for panic attacks...just recreational relaxation. I wouldn't take X-Dream during the day personally but L-Theanine is perfect for daytime use (relaxed but alert mental state).
