Anyone had laser eye surgery?

My sister is considering it, but is interested in hearing some opinions from folks who've had it done. Thanks all!
 
I haven't, but my wife has had Lasik. She has a pretty good astigmatism, but her vision was very close to being legally blind. She had it done, was at 20/20 for quite a while, and is only slightly worse now. She wears reading glasses, mostly because of the astigmatism and her eyes changing after pregnancy, but it was a definite improvement.
