Anxiety and how to help calm it

P.E.A plus an Mao-b inhibitor works nicely for dopamine lol.... Purely recreational, so I'm mostly kidding here

Ohhhh I know lulz. There was a time that was one of my favorite things, but no more. 5 years clean and sober.

Another question on the high salidrosides rhodiola, it doesn't matter what it's standardized to as far as being an adaptogen goes does it? One of the main reasons I started using rhodiola in the first place was it doesn't let my body break down from the stress of my life (in particular lack of sleep which happens way too often). So, high salidrosides or high rosavins, both help in that respect, correct?

I can't speak definitively, but all testing done on rhodiola for benefits related to stress and adaptogenic benefits have been done with 3% rosavin/1% salidroside. The 3% salidroside is designed to offer a different benefit- namely high energy.

I've looked into this pretty extensively and contacted Bulk about this and they confirmed that. Take it for what it's worth, because if you are someone that needs that energy and doesn't necessarily need the other aspects, then it is probably the right thing for you.

Gotcha. Thanks.

I wonder what using both would be like then...

There are versions out there that do not fall into the 3/1. Vitamin Shoppe has their version which is closer to 5.2% r and 1.8% s. Gaia, New Chapter, Solgar are others.

Likewise. I tried it out for maybe 1 year off and on and then never again. It seemed to really down-regulate dopamine receptors and had a self-limiting effect. Couldn't do it very often for this reason. In small amounts it was very nice though and less recreational.

Back on topic though, I've been taking rhodiola, ashwagandha, and licorice root extract for quite some time now for adrenal support. I cycle off the licorice root every once in a while.

Update: Tianeptine sulfate is definitely worth it. It's much smoother, no highs or lows and no real euphoria. Just true antidepressant and anxiolytic effects. The increase in feeling connected to everything and everyone is still there, but it feels ever more natural. Favorite supplement of all time? Likely so.

Don't say that because it can have someone believe it's true, when it isn't. I love their products and they work very well.

Well, the difference is night and day. Perhaps it was a horrible batch? I don't know, but something is absolutely amiss. Lemme know when you try Ceretropic's.

Don't get me wrong, the other products from SDFT were great, but not tianeptine.

Edit: And for the record, it's important we report our real experiences with different products because it can really matter when it comes to something as serious as depression and anxiety, IMHO.

For anyone trying the sulfate version, you'll need to triple the dose that you use from tianeptine sodium, but it's definitely worth it.

Would UMP, fish oil (DHA) and citicholine be effective for mood and anixety? Anyone on the forum that have had benefit with that stack?
Read about it on longevity and reddit, it has good recommendations.

Have anyone used noopept successfully for mood and anxiety?

Anxiety such as depression is something that you have to overcome mentally bro...however I used noopept in the past for my anxiety and it helped me a lot(I was speaking more fluently, less stress calm)20mg daily

Do you use it with a choline source always? I'm finding that I feel horrible after ingesting any form of it but still have a bottle of noopept.

Also, for anyone interested if tianeptine is good preworkout, well, no, its awesome actually. Highly recommended.

No I used noopept alone.Choline actually increases dopamine which can be better of worst if you have anxiety (I feel myself better on pwo with choline) it depends everybody is different but as I said earlier bro noopept will help your anxiety(better focus, memory, stress relief) but is not the right treatment for it .Is all in your mind and you have to overcome bro...;)

Yeah man, I'm with you. But something that could take the edge of the worst symptoms would be highly beneficial for that mental part you have to overcome for getting better. I also want to end my prescription medications as I am under the impression that they do more harm in the long run then good. Withdrawal is a bitch though, maybe noopept and ashwagandha could help in that departement.

Will try a stack with, UMP, fish oil and choline (has positive reviews) and evaluate that stack before trying noopept.

Anyone on TRT in this thread?

Btw, anxiety is not "in your head" per say. You can't "think it away." However, you can certainly create a more calm mental playing field through things like meditation, etc. Many people are wired wrong and are more susceptible to depression and anxiety. It's more or less genetic (in the long term) but can be temporary if it's simply situational.

I'm on TRT.

I've been following this thread off and on - and I don't have major anxiety but have been through a bunch in the last year or so, have mild anxiety, sleep issues, etc. Taking very large doses of N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine has had a very large impact for me. I feel more mentally alert, started dreaming more, sleeping better and longer, feeling more rested when I wake up, feeling more energetic during the day. I also feel less easily upset at things and calmer.

I've tried Piracetam, Aniracetam, Choline, Sulbutiamine, and Adrifinil - but the L-Tyrosine had the most pronounced effects.

I wanted to mention that balancing E2 and DHT have a great effect on the mind. DHT seems to have a smoothing out effect on me. I used to get more stressed and anxious when my DHT was closer to the lower end of the range.

I would guess that too elevated of a level could cause the same (anxiety) given its androgenic attribute.

I just wanted to throw this out there. Kratom has been the best and has had the most noticeable acute effects on my mood and anxiety. I have been on cycle a few weeks and have noticed that at points in the day when I get pissed off and agitated, it lingers around until I get home and get in the shower and after take some Kratom. I don't use it every night because I want to avoid tolerance. But, I have used it the past four nights despite that being against my "rules" lol I just look forward to it every time.

Hasn't had that effect on me. Very high levels of EQ do though, but it also elevates E2. Mast makes me feel great.

I remember when I was on test cream (before shots). My DHT was way over range but I felt completely fine. No anxiety.

How does it affect sleep? Does it help?

It really depends on the strain to be honest. Most give me better sleep for sure, but only a handful have kept me asleep through the entire night.

Like last night I tried an original Bali from a. vendor that most people get good relaxation from. It kept me awake and alert for about 3 hours, but after that it made me very relaxed and slight sedation feeling and I slept straight through the night.

I think the word 'anxiety' has a different meaning to some. I've had it for years. Most of the time im fine. But when I have a trigger my BP raises, HR increase , I start to sweat, even have a hard time looking at people in the eyes. I literally feel like I want to hide. Certain confrontations seem to trigger it. If im arguing with my wife I have no anxiety. If my boss was to call me out on something during a meeting my anxiety would go thru the roof!!! So to say you can just overcome it is false.

The best solution of anxiety is Antioxidants e.g Vitamin A,Vitamin C,Vitamin E..It is mostly found in vegetables and fruits..
but access of everything is bad..

Yes I thank God everyday for lettuce and oranges that have cured me of my anxiety and panic attacks.

Lettuce and oranges?? Lol

Maybe if I eat enough prunes it'll cure mine? ??

Kratom is not for me; too much like real drugs (addiction, etc).

Have you tried it before? It doesn't feel anything close to an actual drug to me. I limit myself to using it a couple times a week. Although I have used it 5/6 nights recently, I won't be using it for a few days and I am perfectly okay with that. I don't allow myself to get addicted to things, I can stop something at any time if I feel it's necessary.

Well, back when I was in active addiction, I abused it quite a bit, so for me it's a bad idea. So I'm again looking for something else to rotate with tianeptine because I can feel tolerance developing.

Also, PC's 3% salidrosides rhodiola gives me killer anxiety. Not good at all lol.
What's everyone's favorite rhodiola brand?
