Androgel and DMSO

is that to increase absorbtion rate? i remember people use to crush fina and mix it with dmso
 
I've heard this but haven't tried it. Found a dmso product that says it's 70/30 with aloe. Not sure if that's an effective concentration for these purposes. I was thinking about using it along with TD trest ace. Hopefully somebody with more knowledge can chime in

I've been spraying and rubbing it in 10 minutes after applying Androgel. I would need to go for blood tests to confirm, but it seems to be helping.

Correct, used to increase absorption. From what I've read, it increases absorption quite a bit.

Sweet. Yeah Id use it right after applying the androgel.
 
I’d wait till the androgen fully dries and then apply DMSO. Should increase absorption rate significantly.
 
I’ve used dmso quite a bit and I can tell you that phlojel ultra is a hell of a lot better. That stuff rocks! And no garlic smell or irritation
 
Better in every way. No irritation better absorption. There currently using it in medicine for absorbing certain medicines that have poor bioavailability. Buy some raw test and mix it
In the phlojel and it’s the best Td test available

I haven't noticed the negative impacts of DMSO. My skin gets a little red, but nothing major and I do get a metallic taste in my mouth, but again, nothing major. If you're going to be around people, brush of teeth or chew on some gum.
 
DMSO would be better applied right before androgel as it will increase permeability of the skin so the active can penetrate easier. I don't see the point of putting dmso on dried up androgel. DMSO is not a carrier but a penetration enhancer.

So DMSO, let it dry for 5 to 10 minutes, then Androgel?
 
I even wouldn't let it dry. DMSO and then androgel on top of it. Many guys were adding DMSO directly to their transdermal solution.

I came in to say this same thing. Phlojel Ultra works very well and much better then DMSO.

I'm looking to try some Phlojel Ultra. This thread has me a bit confused on whether I should apply it before or after my TRT gel. I don't use Androgel, but an offbrand 1% test gel because of #%$%$ insurance.

Also, how much should I use during an application, and how long would a 100g jar last?
 
DMSO can be used before androgel. if you want to use phlojel in addition to your androgel then it should be applied after once it’s dry. Phlojel is a carrier to be mixed with active compounds but if you want to use it in addition to your androgel then it could be used after.

Ok, thanks for the clarification. So I'm using 100mg test gel every morning on shoulders, arms and lats. After applying, how much phlojel should i use on these areas? Do I just apply enough for thin coverage, or should I be more liberal with the amount? Is 5g enough per application?
 
First off why do you want to put phlojel on top of androgel? The dose of androgel is calculated by your Dr based on your analysis and by taking into consideration the absorption rate of androgel which is about 10% if I remember correctly. So pre treating with DMSO or post treating with phlojel will change the absorbed amount of test.

Probably for the same reason the other guys in this thread are using it - to increase absorption. I'm not on Androgel, but a 1% generic brand of Test gel. My levels are usually ~600 with this gel (and my doc is fine with that). Based on my research, there seems to be a consensus that keeping levels at the high end of normal (say 900) provide the most benefits from TRT (in terms of energy, mood and libido). At levels of ~600, I feel okay, but if I'm going to be on TRT, I'd like to get the most out of it. Hell, I've read anecdotes where guys have gotten their levels up to 1300 with this stuff along with their test gel. So, the plan is to try it for a few weeks to see if I can tell any difference in the way I feel. Since I don't want to rock the boat with my doc, I'll just stop using it several days before my blood draws. I don't think this is any worse than popping PHs or injecting 500mg of test every week, so just looking to enhance the gel I'm already using.

If you are followed up by a Dr either you trust him or not if you do i don't see the point of adding an enhancer to increase your test level. If you are using androgel as self medication then there are better option out there including compounding your own gel.

When compounding with Phlogel usually 50-100mg of compound are used per ml of gel.

I use 125mg/ml with phlojel ultra and i can tell you it’s bloody excellent. I’ll never go back to any other Td carrier if I can help it.

So now I need to do some math. My test gel comes in a 5g packet of gel with 50mg of test. I use 2 of these every morning, so 100mg of test (10g of gel). I assume I can disregard the total of 10g of carrier gel, so 2ml (2g) of phlogel after every application of test gel? Does this sound right?
 
1 to 2 ml should be okay. Bear in mind applying phlojel on top of androgel with 100mg active compound will not necessarily have the absorption than 100mg of active compound prepared with phlojel. This is why I mentioned there are better options than combination of androgel and phlojel.
 
Understood, and thanks for the feedback. I'm not expecting any miracles, but hopefully at least some enhancements in libido and energy levels. We'll see...
 
Just a quick update... I'm on day 4 of applying phlojel on top of my test gel. There are some pretty strong indicators so far that I'm absorbing more test. The first 2 days, I developed a terrible headache. It started about 3 hours the first day after application and didn't start to ease up until late that second day. I don't get headaches often, and I take a beta blocker and celery seed extract that has always kept my blood pressure in check. Granted, I don't have a blood pressure monitor, but it didn't feel like my blood pressure was the culprit. Regardless, I started upping my celery seed dosage and drinking more water just in case. So far, the headaches have subsided.

Another thing I'm noticing is better vascularity. Veins in my arms are more pronounced than normal, and I'm even seeing one popping in my delt that I normally don't see. It's not crazy vascularity, but definitely more noticeable.

The biggest indicator was yesterday during my workout. It was my first time working out in about 2 weeks. Was going to hit legs, but my knee was bothering me, so I hit chest instead. I haven't felt this strong in a while. Bench pressed 225 for 12 reps, and 260 for 4 reps. When I'm not cycling, I can usually rep 225 for maybe 8 on a good day. Granted, I'm 3 weeks off of an epistane cycle, but honestly that cycle sucked for me, and I ended up with very little in the way of gains. Nothing really in the way of size or weight gain yet, but if that's going to happen, I'd think it would take a couple of weeks or more.

So overall, I'm happy with what I'm seeing so far, especially strength-wise. I didn't really know what to expect, but it seems to be working, and much quicker than I anticipated. I'll update again if there's any further progress...
 
If you want use all these together. Yes this is the sequence to use them. DMSO followed by Andro gel Followed by phlojel. But I would first use one of the two to see how it works and which one is best for me before combining all 3.

I have been doing DMSO plus androgel and it seems to be working well. I will apply andorgel later and then apply the phlojel once it dries. I will do this later today for a week or two. But just to clarify, apply the phlojel once the androgel dries, correct?
 
I have studies somewhere that indicate that applying a moisturizer about an hour after applying a TD cream/gel increases absorption by a statistically significant amount (IIRC, something like 20 to 30%). I usually wait more like 15 to 20 minutes, because I use it in the AM and don't have an hour to wait.

As to DMSO, I dilute it with some aloe vera gel, alcohol, and some menthol-based gel - and apply it in a small spray pump. The spray pump was originally one used for eyeglass cleaner.
 
I applied the jel once androgel dried. I used just enough to make sure I covered my shoulders. Do I need to use a lot of the stuff and make my arms super greasy, or just enough to cover where I applied Andrigel?

Phlojel is not designed for that but for compounding. However if you want to use it as an absorption enhancer then I would wait for androgel to dry before applying phlojel.
 
where the hell can i buy phlojel in europe? always hard to get us stuff through customs
