I have said it once Pretty Boy Floyd will win in a unanimous decision over Oscar I have been knocked out from a kidney shot. Then Pretty Boy will sign with Golden Boy becau their is more money to be made. The next fight will be between Mosley and Floyd who are both under Golden Boy Promotions

Prediction:

This fight can go the distance. PBF will be in and out on DLH, trying to keep the pressure on by getting DLH behind in the cards. PBF will push the pace, and hope DLH wears down. DLH will stay strong through the middle, and will be more physical and use his size advantage. DLH will try to get close to PBF and give PBF some good 3 punch combinations w/ right hand finishes. Some may stun PBF. DLH may score a knockdown on PBF. But PBF will stand in there. Towards the 7th round, DLH will be noticing PBF has some power with his punches, and will feel things getting tight. With DLH behind in the cards thru 7, he will resort to his old style and try to even up the cards by winning on points. By the 10th DLH realizes he can't because of PBF's quickness, and DLH will have to listen to his trainer and land the combos to KO PBF. But PBF will be too fast. PBF will win by decision.

There are many questions, and I wonder if PBF will be able to keep a stronger DLH off of him early in the fight. DLH will look to be the aggressor early, and Oscar has a chance to win by TKO, but only if he does it earlier in the fight. 7th round or earlier. Once it gets past that point, I think it's PBF's fight to lose.

Neither fighter will concede and both will have the stamina to give it their best all the way to the end. There is a chance PBF will win by TKO somewhere in the 9th or 10th, but I really think the best bet is the over, and PBF by decision.

That said, my heart is completely with Roach and DLH. I would love to see DLH TKO PBF in the 5th or 6th, and see PBF choke under the pressure. I don't like Mayweather's attitude change nor his corner, and DLH is all class, as is his corner.

Should be a great fight but maybe not for the casual fan who wants massive exchanges and KOs. This will be very tactical and the decision will go to Mayweather.

That's just my opinion, and prediction.

Looking at past record and not knowing a heck of a lot about the fight I'm going with Floyd by Decision. I really dont see either fighter TKOing, but anything can happen as always, that is part of the excitment/draw of it.

Late money pounding Oscar: The history of the Mayweather-De La Hoya line

Setting odds for this Saturday’s historic showdown between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Oscar De La Hoya is a task that rivals placing a pointspread on the Super Bowl or pricing the field for the Kentucky Derby.

The big-name fighters, a reality TV show and the media circus fueled by endless trash talk has the entire sports world anxiously awaiting the outcome of this weekend’s junior middleweight title fight.

Mayweather, who is undefeated, has won titles in four different weight classes and is known for his mix of speed and power as well as his large-than-life persona. Oscar De La Hoya, the Golden Boy of boxing, has won titles in six different weight classes. He's best known for his power as well as his latest career as a boxing promoter. This fight is being held by his company, Golden Boy Promotions.

Most sportsbooks now have Mayweather (37-0, 24 KOs) listed as a -185 favorite and De La Hoya (38-4, 30 KOs) as a +155 underdog. But these numbers have bounced around more than Lindsay Lohan on a trampoline. According to boxing linesmaker Joey Oddessa, the opening numbers hit most sportsbooks as early as November with Mayweather at -200 and De LA Hoya opening at +160.

These odds were set with the expectation that the betting public would jump on Mayweather early. It did, forcing the line to climb as high as -250. This held steady for many months, edging between -220 and -200 over the winter and into the spring.

“The intention was to get early action on Mayweather at a higher number which the bottom would fall out of on fight week,” says Oddessa, who sent out opening lines of -200 and -170 to sportsbooks.

In the past two weeks, most online sportsbooks have had a flood of money coming in on De La Hoya, forcing them to drop the line. This one-sided action coincides with the recent news out of the champion’s camp that his father, Floyd Mayweather Sr., who once trained De La Hoya, would no longer be involved with his son’s preparations for this fight.

Mayweather Sr. doesn’t have a strong relationship with his son or his brother Roger, who is training Mayweather Jr., and was disgusted by his son’s comments on their relationship and De La Hoya during a taping of the HBO series 24/7.

“This week the number has been as low as -170, but it has not broken -200 again at any places I do work with,” says Oddessa. “It would not surprise me to see this bout close below -155 at post, especially in Las Vegas.”

Oddsmakers predict the line to slightly favor Mayweather in the hours before Saturday’s 9 p.m. ET start. The money should be a 60/40 split between the two fighters and all the media hype and attention should bring in sports bettors that wouldn’t normally look to bet boxing.

“I think this bout is a lot closer than the line indicates,” says Oddessa. “Personally I think the +180’s (on De La Hoya) and higher were a bargain. But since the bout is generating two-way action, the openers were solid if the books stayed on top of the action.”

Books are also offering a total on the number of rounds in Saturday’s fight. The total is set at 11 ½ rounds. The over is priced at -240 while the under is tagged with at +190.

He may have done better, but I have to think based on what I heard from Roach, and my own analysis of the fight, DLH wanted that early KO. He thought he could get it in the earlier rounds. He really tired himself out, and he wasn't punching much the last 5 rounds at all. The few times he got PBF on the ropes in the last 5 rounds, DLH would rattle him w/ simultaneous punches to the body, but those didn't even bother PBF. Combine those extreme bursts of energy w/ his overall lack of energy, when they were in the middle of the ring DLH wasn't even using as good a defense as he did earlier in the fight, let alone throwing jabs. PBF still had that quickness and would just throw his left jab right between DLH's guard and catch him square in the face.

This fight went exactly as I thought it would, even most of the details. DLH summoned up that flury at the end of the 12th, I knew he'd go until the bitter end, it just was not going to matter. Even if DLH landed a few more jabs in the later rounds, I still had this fight going to PBF. DLH needed at least a knockdown early on to really rattle PBF, and wasn't able to get it. They both walked away a lot richer, so no one is going to feel sorry for either fighter.
 
A couple more comments on the fight.

Rooting for DLH, I was disgusted to see PBF come out in his "Mexico loves Mayweather" getup and sombrero. He did make for a good heel, but that's not my taste.

And looking at the stats, PBF landed 43% of his total punches compared to 21% of DLH. But as far as power punches: PBF landed 57% of his power punches vs small 24% of DLH. The fight was not as lopsided as those numbers, but it was not razor close, either. Of course, had DLH given a stronger showing in the last half, the judges may have given it to him - they aren't known for their integrity and accuracy. However they did get the job done Saturday night.

DLH came out strong and I admire his integrity, he just didn't have enough to pull it off. It will take someone who has DLH's power and strength, but the stamina and determination to put the pressure on PBF for the full 12 rounds. There were 30-45 second chunks when DLH really had things going on PBF and I think it concerned PBF the first few times it happened. But it happened too infrequently and not at all in the later rounds to really make a significant difference. PBF can be defeated, he just hasn't faced the opponent who is capable of possessing the right qualities to do it yet.

Ehh so I missed by one damn judge hopefully its close enough to get into the drawing haha it was a good fight though and hopefully Floyd doesnt hang the gloves up
