would have loved to have seen him face off against Chong Li in Hong Kong.I think Most in this community understand, but a lot of younger people only knew him as an actor. He was also an undefeated Champion:
He held the World Professional Middleweight Karate Championship title for six consecutive years. He won his first title in 1968 and retired as the undefeated champion in 1974.
If you’re talking about more a kickboxing point type match, back then, it probably wouldn’t be as close as you would think. Now a MMA type match with grappling might would be interesting with Chong Li’s (Bolo Yeung) size and power. But truthfully I always thought Chong Li (Bolo Yeung) was slow, although I really liked his character in Blood Sport. He was a good bad guy.
I’d be quite alright having that exact build being vertically challenged and all. If memory serves me correctly, isn’t he 5’ 6/7”, 5’ 6/7”?If you’re talking about more a kickboxing point type match, back then, it probably wouldn’t be as close as you would think. Yeah I think he was like 5’ 6” and like 185 when won all those Mr Hong Kong bodybuilding titles I think like late 60s or early 70s maybe. But he was cut more back then than in Blood Sport. I think he was closer to 200 lbs in blood sport, so yeah thicker.I’d be quite alright having that exact build being vertically challenged and all. Well said!We have (probably) all felt invincible, at different points of our lives, but life is extremely fragile, and can end in a heartbeat. My life could have ended MANY times that I know of ..... And there were probably a Lot more times that I wasn't aware of....
Let's all do the things we need to do, while we're still given time.

This was so funny to me
Some times it’s just easier to “update your credit card info” and block their number.Bro .... I just got home from the Verizon store. ... I've been trying to close out my account for months. I was there over 2 hours. This is part of the commentary that I put on Social Media...
Thank you Lord, for giving me patience during times like this, when I'm tempted to not show any.
*** No Police were called, no hospitals necessary, nobody died.
... Isn't Grace Wonderful?

Yeah .... But then they turn you in to credit reporting agencies (even though they shouldn't). What a hassle. Some times it’s just easier to “update your credit card info” and block their number.
typical bad boy rebel without a cause not listening to sound advice
Reminds me of my brother-in-law that has diabetes and has gained enough weight that he had to go for a mammogram, telling me that I shouldn’t eat carbs, chicken, or red meat. Fish and veg only. And now for some reason, my minds eye is seeing Wilford Brimley in a hospital gown getting his tah-tahs slammed between the glasstypical bad boy rebel without a cause not listening to sound advice
the only people who give me **** for how I eat and train are folks who are popping pharma on the daily to survive life and can't climb a flight of stairs without stopping for a rest, tbh.....Reminds me of my brother-in-law that has diabetes and has gained enough weight that he had to go for a mammogram, telling me that I shouldn’t eat carbs, chicken, or red meat. last night at the baseball game I bought peanuts from the vendor walking the seats, he hands me the credit card machine, and the tip options are 15%, 20%, 25%. I hit the 15% and somehow felt embarrased because it was the far left option and of course I received a glare for it too lol I mean **** dude, keep your peanuts.
Went to a local restaurant that does 50/50 take out and eat in to pick up some food. The Gen Z worker asked my name, turned 180 to grab order and turned 180 around to hand to me, ABSOLUTELY ZERO MILEAGE IN STEPS. Flips the touch screen around for the “tip screen” after swiping card. No tip applied on my end. If he brought it curbside pickup that is different, He “huffed” at me for the zero tip. COVID really skewed people’s perceptions. Nobody was making any money in many instances, servers couldn’t work, all the restaurants that tried to stay open were carry out - so many people started tipping for pickup as a way to support through the BS shutdowns.Went to a local restaurant that does 50/50 take out and eat in to pick up some food. Well said!I tip the same services now i did 30 years ago. I also tip well for good service. But I'm not tipping you to pour my coffee or scoop my ice cream. Sorry... not sorry
One thing that has made this so bad is that the credit card and other payment processors charge 3-5 cents for every dollar that goes across their network and they are actually the ones who keep increasing the tip levels on payment options. If they can get you to spend another $20 they stand to make an extra $.60-1.00 off of just getting you to add that tip. Multiply that by millions of transactions a day and you can see how this adds up quickly. Add to that the people working see this tip offered up and think they are now entitled to it, and the rest of us feel like we are somehow lacking or are rude if we don't tip. I did it for a short minute but now, if you are not a server of some sort my only tip for you is get a better job if you want to make more money.last night at the baseball game I bought peanuts from the vendor walking the seats, he hands me the credit card machine, and the tip options are 15%, 20%, 25%. When I was down in Peoria a year or two ago at the M's spring training stadium the girl told me "don't hit the tip button!" I was like really? why? (not that I wanted to for a hotdog stand) "we don't get tips, it all goes to the corporation anyways!"One thing that has made this so bad is that the credit card and other payment processors charge 3-5 cents for every dollar that goes across their network and they are actually the ones who keep increasing the tip levels on payment options. I literally left food at a spot I went to pick up from because the to go order had an 18% gratuity added to it. I asked what it was there for on a to go order and they said it was the new policy. I said I am not paying that, and they said I had to, so I told them they can just keep it and walked out.
The whole tip your cleaning lady, trash man, mail man, mechanic, landscaper any of that is just ridiculous. Charge what you expect to get paid and don't expect anything else from me.
She is nice, those delivery guys are paid decently for the job they do. I also think there is a difference in sometimes tipping someone who you have developed a relationship with. Especially with chickens...When I was down in Peoria a year or two ago at the M's spring training stadium the girl told me "don't hit the tip button!" I was like really? why? yeah I agree. the only exception is during the holidays my wife has developed this habbit of putting out a snack basket with sodas and treats for the delivery people and last year when we needed to cull some of our older chickens I gave 3 to a landscaper who had helped us with some big chores and told him he's welcome to throw them in the BBQ or keep them for layers lol. I'm pretty sure they got cooked up that night.![]()
