Alright gang…can’t put a price on this kind of precision…I’ll just deal with it/expect it in the future…I tipped well, (always do) and we talked more, before starting the cut.

I will scout others to have a backup or other option and keep this guy in the rotation

Enjoy your evening everyone
I would have discussed it with him right there before the cut, and told him I was able to make it this time but next time you either need to wait for me to respond, or cancel the appointment and offer a discount for the inconvenience. That is just horrible customer service. Of course I don't need a barber, just a Schick Extreme 3!

Yeah my current barber has never done that in the 8-9 years he’s been cutting me. He is very professional at this point in his career; you book & pay ahead of time through the app/website. If the slot is there and you book it, he will be there with an empty chair for you - he books full hour slots now, because most cuts take 45 minutes for most customers, and some people get their beard done. Zero walkins allowed anymore. Walkins are what really mess up the schedule.

He worked at a shop when I met him and I followed him when he left the collective. Guys like him put their craft AND the customer first, so they never hurt for business. The less experienced guys have to take every cut they can get, but that makes for rushed work or long waits when you had an appointment.

I am firmly of the belief that if you can charge me for being late, I should be able to get the exact same discount if you aren't ready for me within the same grace period I am allowed.. I have had several copays taken off by complaining about this at the doctors office. Warning that my customer review will be about how the doctor thinks his time is more valuable than his patients, and that they have poor scheduling and customer service. My PCP already has on file if I am not back in the office or have to wait in the office for too long they will be crediting me back my copay. They know I am going to say something about it at this point.

Same with going out to dinner. If we are with a group and the service sucks, but they want the required 18% gratuity anyway, I am absolutely going to complain to the manager and get something on the bill comped to make up for the bad service. I go out to eat for the experience not just the food. The tip is all about the experience, and when you take that away, and i get bad service, I am going to get that back somewhere. I tip very good for good service, but if your service is average you are getting 15%. If you are excellent maybe 25%, and just good 20% which tends to be the average. All of this nonsense that tip percentages should be increasing because the cost of living is increasing is just total BULLSHlT! The food went up by 20%, so the tip went up by 20%, there is absolutely no reason the acceptable percentage should increase when the total increased. They ARE ALREADY MAKING 20% more money already. I don't get how people fall for that nonsense. I can tell you that I have not seen the pay increases keeping up with inflation in the way that a server does. Not even close. Of course the brokies don't tip well, but those people never have. So nothing changed there.

Indeed, the entire reason for tipping by percentage is so that the tip does in fact go up when the cost of the goods rise!

I roasted someone defending this clown for being natty…and then this guy chimes in…
I can’t stand the world we live in

She sucks more than that. You know what they say about fat chicks. They can suck the hell out of a cock since they’ll never know when they will see another one.
I have had a few bigger girls in my life and some regulars and leaner ones and from my experience, your dead on!
