Linguistically, my peeve is using a word incorrectly. My real trigger is people who smack their lips when they eat, or chew gum with their mouth open. I will find a way to exit a conversation with an open mouth gum chewer as quickly as possible. Doesn't really matter if I like them or not. If they are chewing gum with their mouth open, I have insatiable desire to remove their teeth so they can't chew gum anymore. I have gotten up from my seat at dinner and moved away from someone who was smacking their lips while eating, and won't stop. I was asked once why I moved away from a someone at a family dinner once, and just said I can't handle the lip smacking, so I moved to get away from it right in my ear. I didn't want to be a jerk and tell them to stop, so I just moved. of course the person stopped the rest of the meal but I didn't want to make them uncomfortable. I just couldn't deal with it any longer.

It just sounds so gross to me that I can't stand it. I know lip smacking happens with everyone on occasion but when it is damn near constant throughout a meal I just tweak. I know that is on me but it is just the way it is for me. LOL I am sure it was because my Mom hated it and constantly got on to me for it as a kid, but it is an engrained part of me now that just rakes my nerves. It is funny how that happens.

Was just talking about this with my wife about this. I can't stand it. Our ears become "cat sensitive like" and every chew drives the spike deeper lol. My poor Dad when he was losing his hearing would "smack his food" louder and louder as his hearing got worse and worse. Like when a person starts to lose their hearing, they speak louder cause they think they are not speaking loud enough. They also seem smack louder too! My 95 yr old Mom is in an old folks home and I visit her at lunchtime a few days a week and that place is smacking / no gums city!! God help me lol.
 
OMG, This^ trying to teach my kids to chew with their mouth closed is a true test of patience. Anyone else remember the big think ass book of manners??

in the office, dragging feet and scuffing them across the floor would be my equivalent here, lol. If you're too lazy to pick your feet up, I don't want to hang with you or work with you, lol.

Not a meme per se,…need advice and/or what would you do…

I’ve been with my current barber for 2 haircuts and tonite I scheduled my 3rd for 6pm…it’s through the booksy app, which is pretty cool.

At 3pm I get an alert he rescheduled my appointment for 5:45 pm ! How petty is that ?

I made 6pm appointment because that’s the time that works for me and allows me to be there at 5:50 +/- (If you’re not on time you’re late)

He rescheduled and confirmed my appointment before I even had a chance to confirm it myself. I logged in and see that I could still cancel.

I think I’m gonna keep the appointment as I have things coming up I want to look my best at and I’m due for a cut and don’t have time now to find someone else last minute.
I can hustle and probably still make this evening on time….but I’m big on respect etc.
This just rubs me the wrong way.

Definitely will find someone else moving forward.

I’m new to the barber world…Lemme know what you think, is this common?

yeah i use booksy all the time

hmhh for him to assume and automatically shcedule is wrong .. bc i know some barber charges 50%fee whether you show up or not to his time.

so thats very wrong .. i would rather be just cancel it and i would resepct it as everyone can have shyt happen in their life that they gotta take care of.

if hes a good barber ..i would talk to him .. im very close to my barber as he cuts all my cousins as well and i know he would never do that.

the girl who cuts my hair sends me a text in advance and asks if it's ok to reschedule at times like this. FWIW.
i used to just go to sport clips cause I could literally book it in the car on my way there but went back to my old girl cause my hair gets fro'y on the sides if it's not trimmed right and grows out like a clown head so it's worth the better cut for me....

The thing is, this guy doesn’t talk lol…That’s kind of what I like….He’s Dominican (as far as I know) I know he speaks English, I think he’s just kind of pompous or aloof? Maybe there’s a culture difference Im not aware of.

He only takes cash, cash app, or Zelle…..Like some kind of research site lmao….Owns his own spot, very convenient for me.

Looks like he works out but only used machines/cables and has ‘Dbol gangsta’ vibe
 
I also am aware of cancel fee, so that’s part why I didn’t do it! However he has no credit card info of mine, neither does booksy app

Alright gang…can’t put a price on this kind of precision…I’ll just deal with it/expect it in the future…I tipped well, (always do) and we talked more, before starting the cut.

I will scout others to have a backup or other option and keep this guy in the rotation
