apparently Hendo might not get the title shot now. I could see Bisping getting it if he beat Dan... i wonder if Dan having beat him isn't as impressive or else maybe the bonus strike he gave Bis hurt his chances...

gsps reach on him was a huge factor, he was always just out of range

That and the fact that Alves could not stop the take down, ever! He did show a lot of fortitude by going five rounds with gsp and toughing it out, but he just wasn't at the level for this fight that gsp is now. Gsp looked phenomenal and it was fun rooting for Thiago who was the underdog because you never know. He made more money than Frank Mir at Ufc 100 and at least he didn't pull a Bisping

Anyone watch the prelims?
I'm not sure if Bonnar is just plain bad or Coleman is good. I'm leaning towards Bonnar is bad.
Filthy Lawlor's fight was good and swift. I couldn't figure out though where all the blood came from once the main event started. I assume most of it was Bonnars...

I think it was from Danzig.

LOL I read some of GSP's blog and reading it you can imagine him talking because it looks/sounds just like him:
The next day I went at a pool party at Rehab with all my friends who came to support me. We had a booth (cabana) and it was great spot in the place. I drank so much that I forgot my whole name. It was very cool because at one time, Thiago Alves showed up with his entourage and came in my booth (cabana) and drinking with me and congratulate me for the fight. I thought he was a class act and that prove that he was a real professional athlete and a real good person and a gentleman. I really appreciated it, he’s a great fighter and also a great gentleman, and we had a good time drinking together. John Fitch showed up as well, and we celebrate together our victories. Shonie Carter came a little bit later with a gold speedo and a hat and a cane dressed like a pimp with his cane. He make us laugh very much and as always me and Shonie had a great time because Shonie is a good old friend of mine.

This is kinda interesting too. Apparently Dan Hendo is retracting his comment for this explanation:

"If I'm standing up not making him vulnerable for shots and not striking, he doesn't have to defend himself. The ref might not stop it. With me adding one more punch to it, he has to step in and stop the fight no matter what. So I didn't know he was completely out until the second punch landed. There wasn't time to really think about the pros and cons of whether I should hit him again or not. It's too close. I did what I was supposed to do in that fight and at the end as well to finish it. That's what every fighter is trained to do, is finish the fight. I felt like I showed good sportsmanship by stopping right then and there. I didn't try to continue after the ref stopped it like a lot of fighters have done. That's just what I tried to joke about afterward and that's what people have a problem with."
"It could have been anybody," he said. "It just happened to be Bisping. Maybe I enjoyed it more. I had the exact same finish against Wanderlei Silva. I knocked him out and landed one more punch on the ground. It happened almost the same type of way. ... And I like and respect Wanderlei a lot more than I like Bisping, and it didn't make a difference. It could have been anyone out there, and I was still going to do my job and finish the fight.

"I don't think anyone would have had a problem or said a word about it if I wouldn't have made that comment. Obviously I regret saying that, and it might have been in bad taste, but I was a little bit maybe emotional at the time, and it felt good to knock out Bisping like that."

One thing I'd like to bring up is the prelims fights...

STOP READING IF YOU DONT WANT SPOILERS FROM THESE FIGHTS:

Holy fcuk! 3 guillotines and 3 people totally out from it. That's just not common at all. Who got Submission of the nigth anyways? Cause they were all pretty freaking great if you ask me.

^^Tom Lawlor with his sub on CB. Starting to question if ACS trains jits, or more if CB ever goes to a class.

I think he should have recieved the 100k simply for remembering/painting the just bleed guy at the weigh-ins! That was great! :D
