Hello
I got a little question is good use Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) in low carb diets?
Thanks
It will help keep you in ketosis, if that is what you are going for.

Na R-Alpha Lipoic Acid and this type is more bioaviable?:nervous:
maybe "push nutrients (carbs)" in to the muscles not turns in fat?????
Sodium R-Lipoate (Na-r-ALA)
ALA is naturally produced in the body as a mitochondrial enzyme cofactor. It is important to aerobic metabolism. ALA has been suggested to increase cellular uptake of glucose to cell membranes by recruiting the glucose transporter GLUT4. ALA improves skeletal muscle glucose transport, resulting in desirable blood glucose disposal and increased muscle glycogen concentrations. (1) Studies also suggest that in muscle, ALA is a potent anti-oxidant which protects cells from oxidative stress-induced insulin resistance. (2) The ALA used in this formula is chemically stabilized and of the highest quality. It's one of the most active isomers and one of the highest potency salts commercially available. ALA is an invaluable addition that offers a multitude of benefits plus countless extras for any serious athlete.
Bottom Line: Best way to describe this effect is that it almost adds a filter to the muscle fibers; Taking in what it needs to prepare for growth.

If you look it says "Do not take on a low carb diet" ? Hmmm
what sides are we talking about here?

It doesn't keep glucose out of the bloodstream. ALA, and it's many forms, help to increase the sensitivity of the receptors to insulin ad leads to less insulin being released. Insulin, while it is anabolic, can be detrimental to a physique because it may channel nutrients toward fat cells instead of muscle cells (depending on the environment and GLUT receptors activated).
then as I can be sure that pushes nutrients into muscle cells and not to fat?
:AR15firing:
Through GLUT-4 activation. However, this is generally only stimulated by exercise.
DAMN IT i down 100mg NaR-ALA and 400mg Gymnema Sylvestre Leaf Extract (25% Gymnemic Acid = 100 mg) before eat my lunch 50g of complex carbs
and i go to train 6 hours later in this lapse of time all of the carbs is converted in FAT?
Stop making this so complicated. Carbs are not converted to fat just because GLUT-4 is not activated. There are incalculable factors that go into metabolism that is beyond my knowledge.
BURNED! LOL but is this or Ra-Ala not god to use with this TKD im on?? Thanks
