Alexander's strength training log

Yeah, it may have been more like 45s for me too. The Tank level cardio.

I listened to Nog's entrance music prior to my workout tonight to pump up. :head: How obsessed are we with this sport?

I have Wand and Fedor's entrance songs in my workout playlist in my iPod. I also watch some highlight before I train usually. My all-time favorite is still the CC highlight to Lux Aeterna by Clint Mansell (which I also have in my iPod).

Now Alex will be a major a-hole all the time....... Better get the Wandy clip ready for failed attempts.

I liked Lawler's entrance song from most of his UFC fights, can't remember the name.

damn you boys need seperate thread for the BSing and Man love:stick:

Squad up! :run: The man love is about to end for me as I rented "Death Sentence", probably another terrible movie, but the movie store dude said it was dopamine.

Watch "Oldboy" if you want a nice mindfvck, Korean style.

sunday-dyn squat

sumo d-lift- 605 x1, 625 x0, missed right above knees. 455 x8

front squats-225 2 sets 15

GHR- bw x20, w/ 1 3/4" x13

Was planning to just do rep work on sumo's, but decided to work up, need to stop doing that. Been awhile since I've dl'ed sumo. Is sumo legal for our comp, Jas, Mullet?

this week got a little messed up. missed dyn bench on sunday, ended up doing a few sets of push-ups to failure on monday. did max lower today instead of tuesday.

max lower

deadlift standing on 3" block with monstamini band(50# bottom, no tension from high shin up)-635#

pause squats w/ manta gay-225#-25,20

rev hypers-60#-2 sets 12

roman chair sit-ups

pretty good workout. that deadlift set-up should be close to my raw max, and help me to explode out of the hole. floor presses manana.

Alex, so the monstamini helps you with 50# at the bottom and eases to no help at the high shin where it's 635?

Exactly. I'm standing on a 3" platform which makes it more difficult obviously. I think I may be able to regular dead 635 right now. I'm gonna back off on deads for a bit, and test my regular deadlift in about 2 weeks. Deadlifts on speed work only, and Squats or GM's for max effort.

I think so. Suspended or rack GM's set at a pretty low position have seemed to help. I'm kind of a scatter brained mess, hard to say what helps most of the time. I think a lot of people are like that, but would like to think that they have the answer?

Won't be lifting for awhile. Fell straight down from 25 feet onto concrete, jacked up my wrist and ankle. The wrist isn't too bad, but I think the ankle might be broken. I bounced up immediately and didn't feel hurt too badly, but I came home, passed out and woke up hurting. Got ankle iced now, took a handful of ibuprofen and I'll see how it feels in the morning. I'm hoping it's just badly sprained. Either way I'll resume upper body this weekend, wrist permitting. And we're definitely still on for Mar 15.

Damn, WTF were you doing? A ladder match with the Roguester? If you aren't hurt, that's pretty amazing.

haha. I was helping out some guys in our warehouse. In our warehouse the ceilings are about 40 ft and their are racks where sh*t is stored. Their are two levels the first 12 feet and the second 24 feet. I was up there getting a box down for a douchebag salesman and the support beam somehow popped out and the rack that I was standing on fell through, along with me, straight down to the concrete floor. It happened so fast that I still am not sure what the hell really happened, but I hit my head on something on the 12 ft level and then hit the ground, popped up and was walking around fired up. I came home and when I woke up from my nap, my ankle hurt like crazy and is huge. Could've been a lot worse though. Their were a few people watching and they thought I was gonna be paralyzed or something and were shocked when I popped up. Oh well, I'll get paid for watching MSSS and True Life for a while.

Fvck dude that's crazy. Hope everything turns out okay. It's hard to imagine that level of fall without any major damage, but sometimes you get lucky. I got hit by a car walking across a street about 1.5 years ago. Flipped up over the hood and everything and I was squatting 2 or 3 days later. Better to be lucky than good.

Might as well sue or something and make millions, then spend your new found free time training for MMA.

(Mullet, I guess someone wanted out of the contest. :stick:)

Yeah, it was a bit of a lucky fall, like I said some of the guys there were really shocked that I never really went down. They said I did some sort of spastic unorthodoxed backwards somersault out of the fall and paced around as if I were going to kick someones ass. Time to get in a bunch of upper body while the ankle heals, going to doctor tomorrow probably. I just hope my now further gimpified wrist will hold out. As far backing out of the comp, no way, now I'm.........

Nice vid! Another thing that sucks is that a broken ankle might slow the usual flow of pvssy that you get. That's why I'm king A-hole, kick a man while he's down. Seriously, let us know how it turns out with the doc.

Yeah dude, when that semi crushed us my friend immediately hopped out of the truck and began walking in circles screaming "He's dead! he's dead!", and when I was in the ambulance I was naming random body parts that I knew to tell the EMT I was fine, and went on a speech about how I hate ER.

Is Ms. Big Dogg available? I take hand me downs. No, not even this can stop my even flow of vajayjay

That's hilarious. So you were like femur, check, fibula, check, liver, check. EMT must've got a kick out of it, unless they thought you might die. Do you still feel any pain resulting from that wreck?

Literally man, that's exactly what I was doing. I was like "I don't think any of the major bones of my upper extremities are damaged, though I feel I may have torn my Quadratus Lumborum (I was right..lol). I also have some tingling in my right leg, though I think that's from inactivity and not any damage to the Sciatic Nerve".

I was being a goon. I was so messed up, I was probably in shock and trying not to seem like I was hurt. It wasn't until about 4 hours after that I began to feel massive pain.

Yeah, at times I do. It's mostly mental, though. My concussion was so severe that it has fubar'd my short-term memory a little bit. I have problem in remembering sequential things. So class times, times to call my girl, phone numbers, things like that get lost in the shuffle. I was out for about 15 minutes though, so that's to be expected I suppose.

Because I was being such a douche, they must have figured I was fine. Though I turned out to have a lot more injuries than I thought. The kidneys was/is the only thing I still worry about.

Could've been a lot worse, I suppose. With the short-term being fubar'd, it gives you a nice excuse to mildly screw people over. I'm always looking on the bright side:blink:

I hope the kidneys don't give you any trouble. I've had multiple friends have trouble with their kidneys, one chick had to have one removed, now 15 years later she has a friggin tumor behind her eye, just not fair, salt of the earth of course as well. My cat, who is 15, now has a cyst on her kidney, and I'm worried sick. I'm an animal person, she's like my baby:whiner:, but seriously, I'm very concerned.

The ER guys were probably like "he tore his Quadratus Lumborum", and you're like "I think I made that abundantly clear". You probably gave the ER dudes too much information, overkill. It looks like the short term memory issues haven't effected your vocab, pretentious prick :stick:  (Just f-ing around)

Alex, Ms. Bigg Dogg is out there for the taking, but is also down with the benefits from me so you don't want to be compared to the Bigg Dogg :bb2: (unless I've taken geranamine ).

Just f-ing around tonight boys. Glad you're doing better, Mullet. Alex will probably out-DL me on crutches.

Sounds to me like he's the kinda guy that would periodically sit on a toilet just to practice taking sh!ts.

My dad is in town and when he saw my ankle he insisted I go see someone else about it. He dropped me off at the urgent care. I got some x-rays and was waiting for results. My dad had gone to pick up my cat from the vet. He came back into the waiting room of the urgent care to inform me that they had to put her to sleep. To me, this is devastating, like losing a family member. She was born in my house and I spent the last 15 years with her. Holding back tears they finally call me in with the results. My ankle is broken, it's in an aircast now, and I'm going to the bone doctor on monday when the swelling is down to get a permanent cast. Now I'm stuck sitting here with a broken ankle having to constantly think about her. Anyways, I won't be lifting any lower body for awhile. Does anyone have any good upper body only programs?

Fvck dude. I joke around a lot, but this ain't funny. Sorry for the double dose of bad news. If it makes you feel any better, I karaoked to "Eye of the Tiger" tonight. (insert Wandy clip) :drunk:

Thanks, I guess. Went back to get the hard cast. I have a unique break. I broke the bone completely off, and in most cases it requires a bolt to hold it in place. Mine luckily stayed in place even though it is completely seperated, amazing luck. Their is a good chance that I'll just have the hard cast on for 4 weeks, as long as the bone stays in place. If not, I'm waisting my time and will have to have a bolt put in and will be out even longer. I don't want surgery so I opted to give it a shot with just a cast. Anyways, won't be lifting lower body for quite some time. I guess I'll have to bow out of our deadlift contest. I have to be very careful not to put any pressure on my foot, so their is less chance that the bone will shift out of place. I'll be posting upper body workouts beginning tomorrow. Karma seems to be trying to take a chunk out of me fvcking mantlepiece, not appenin bruv!

It would make me feel a lot better, if you had a clip of it. I'm sure it was a real electric performance based on your workout energy level.

bad **** alex. best of luck man.
