I think my point still stands. But alcohol blunts protein synthesis amongst other things, too.

Unless you're trying to say that lifting before drinking makes your hangover less severe or weakens the effects of alcohol

HAHA, good point! Alcohol just loosens the lips to allow what was already inside to come out, it docent "make" your behavior happen ;)

You have the reasoning behind why. Otherwise this doesn't make any sense. It really doesn't anyway.

Working out then consuming alcohol is not nutritionally sound. When you drink the body stops processing all other nutrients until it completely burns off the poison to it alcohol is seen as poison. That would effectively delay muscle building nutrients from being put to use when most needed for anabolism.

Yeah the whole adrenaline dump after a shot thing... I guess if on the last set or two but why other than to look like a badass. Ammonia is cheaper and more effective.
 
Wasn't there a video of a drunk power lifter deadlifting and dropping the bar on his knees? Think he blew one of them out because of it.
