acne

Alright I am not sure how you will apply it to the back, but I recently had a break out on my upper thighs and I never have acne problems.

Looked into different Products, but I decided on PanOxyl. It is a soap you apply in the shower and wash off. Did the job for me.

Make sure to click 4oz, the price you see is for a pack of 12.

I have been using a topical test cream and it made my back break out pretty bad. I heard vitamin a can help but its not working.

PanOxyl has been working for me too, but I'm just dealing with normal, minor adult bacne. The active ingredient is benzoyl peroxide, which basically works by killing off the p. acne bacteria (if I remember correctly).

Vit. A/retinol (a different form of vit. A) works also, and is what's in prescription acne creams. Weaker (i.e. non-prescription) doses are often found in anti-aging creams, because it helps the skin regenerate itself. But those also help with acne, at least they did in my case (I'm using Philosophy's retinol booster caps, quite pricey though). I'm not sure, though, if vitamin A supplements help...

Hope this helps a bit ....

Use dawn dish soap on your back; use like a back scrubber and scrub it good. Yes im being serious, and yes it works well..

accutane works great for just about all acne. i'm not suggesting it because i'm not sure how it would interact with other things you are taking. what do you guys think?

Zinc, fish oil, B-5 are all nutrients I believe are said to help with acne. However, it should be noted B-5 doesn't seem to work the same for everyone but the other two seem to be pretty widely agreed upon as effective nutrients to aid in the process.

Isotretinoin (Accutane) also works fantastic. I believe the side effects are a bit exaggerated at times by many ignorant folks. The only side effects I experienced were dry mucous membranes, mild lip and dryness of the skin (face). I also began to experience joint pain for the first time on isotretinoin. It comes as a surprise to me as I was on isotretinoin approximately 7 months or so prior to this run I am currently on and never once experienced anything more than the dryness (skin U& mucous membranes). However, I had increased the dosage from 20mg to 40mg from one month to another so it's a possibility the increased dosage affected me negatively. I have since gone back down to 30 mg (3-10mg capsules ED) and am observing if there is any improvement.

If any of you are interested, I created a thread quite some time ago regarding acne and my situation. I found much relief to my mild acne with acne.org and a few other methods which I discuss on that thread.

Now that I think about it.. maybe it'd be a good idea for me to update that thread.

Hey thanks to all your responses to the acne problem. I will sure to try some of these things out and i will let you guys know how it worked. thanks

I've used this zit zapper device called the "Zeno". It kills the bacteria in zits with heat and definitely does the job. And is natural! You might need some help treating your back though....a job for your girlfriend/wife maybe....lol!

Just for the record. Panoxy has stopped production of their BPO bars and soaps. I was lucky enough, called around and found a store that had 4 or 5 left and bought them all (5$ each). You might want to do the same. I looked on amazon and around the web before hand and only saw panoxy bars on ebay for like 50$? the hell is that ****....Also, a lot of people get folliculitus mistaken for acne. .02

I hit annoying areas with charcoal soap followed by Clean & Clear Persa-Gel 10 for spot treatment, if necessary. Salicylic acid peels can be applied by a second party and have proved to be useful as well...
