acetylcholine

Anyone else had any experience with taking precursors to acetylcholine.... acetylcholine is a neurotransmitter that regulates muscle tone, amongst other things..... some of the precursors include phosphatydil choline stacked with B-complex and an additional 500mg of pantothenic acid.... also lecithin, which is a natural source of phosphatydil choline along with being a fat metabolizer, DMAE is a precursor as well as being a vasodialator. There are a few more I can't recall at the moment..... the only natural source is fresh, not freeze dried, royal jelly... so the best option are precursors ... a bonus is increased alertness, focus and supposedly, even intelligence .......
I swear by it, but would like to know if anyone else goes this route,,,,

Yeah,,, I used to get my piracetam from Mexico years ago.... just found it available here..... I've always taken this stuff for the cognitive benefits but am wondering if there are any significant body building benefits that people have noted

I recently started using 200mcg of huperzine a before bed. Has definitely enhanced memory. Also makes me sleep deeper.

I really like DMAE. Benefits I've noticed are good sleep, good mood, extra energy, calm, slight focus and clearer thought process. I have had good results using it with L-Tyrosine. I also use it with Beta Alanine as part of an 'anti-aging' stack. It has really profound effects on me and I have to be carefull of the dose. 250 mg tops, any more than that and I become lethargic sometimes accompanied by a headache.

Would rather go with choline (citrate or bitartrate).

Or just use a complete nootropic product like Focus XT.

Cholinergics: Invalid Link Removed and Invalid Link Removed
Cholinomemetic: Invalid Link Removed
Partners in Crime: *racetams

For mental stuff, Alpha-GPC seems best, though it and Citicoline are pricey. Alpha > Citicoline as far as plasma levels after administration, according to Invalid Link Removed. I've experienced a mild jittery feeling when using these and Invalid Link Removed/Oxiracetam.

With the other choline variants, I have experienced additional body heat, but have not taken so much to experience any of the reported fish odor. I've taken lots - Lecithin, Phosphatidyl, Citrate, Bitartrate, but mostly the first 3. Don't get any jittery effects or anything that aids mental focus. Nonetheless, choline, generally, is good to take.

Centrophenoxine - has a Invalid Link Removed element, but supposedly is better absorbed into the brain (and, thus, so is its DMAE).

ALCAR will further increase acetylcholine. It's been a long time since I've used it.

*Racetams - find the one that feels best. Invalid Link Removed/Oxi are hydrophilic and Ani is lipophilic.

Those cholines leave you smelling like fish
Maybe if you mega-dose it, I have no problem getting effects without smelling like a fish.

I had that happen from choline inositol ... also read the other cholines were good for fat metabolism, but the best nootropic effect came from phosphatydil... I believe I read that in the book "Smart Drugs and Nutrients"
Was a long while back though that I read that book
