A RAD sponsored log feat. Olympus UK's Radar1ne

Better writer and better musician period. Not a KK fan at all. As generic as riffs can possibly get and is credited with being great. Compared to most modern metal Slayer is a stone-age version of musicianship. I feel like they were done at Diabolus en Musica. And now it, SOH, and Reign in Blood are the only albums I can even listen to. Respect for what they did, and what they introduced me to in my youth, but metal evolved without them evolving with it.

I have to agree with this. While Slayer will always be held dear - seeing them live on the Divine Intervention tour was one of the best experiences of my teenage years - they now sound just sound dated and their sound is just "thin", for want of a better word. I haven't listened to a Slayer album in a good couple of years probably. Bands like Amon Amarth, Meshuggah and Machine Head have redefined heavy and Slayer ain't it anymore.

I was never a fan of Tom's vocal's either, I have to say.

Agreed. Hetfield circa anything really...

Master...master...where's the dreams that I've been after!!

I'll go fire up metal thread in the general and stop hijacking DMA's log haha.
Well we're mixing my 2 passions here. My life story...gym + heavy metal. No worries. Others may be like WTF, but not this guy!!

And we could be saving lives. We may keep some youngster from listening to pop music at the gym. They might be like "Lamb of God...that sounds nice", then BOOM!! Life saved.

Haha too true. I seriously *don't get* those people who train without headphones and listen to the generic sh*t gyms pump through their speakers.

I use this tactic to keep baseline arousal to a minimum to get practice lifting near max while utterly calm. Then I know I'm good for 10% more weight under amped meet conditions.

Some pop tunes, however, do make my testicles seek to move up high in my abdomen and cut my strength 25-50%. I have literally covered my ears and hummed softly to block theses rare songs out so I can lift afterward.

Haha too true. I seriously *don't get* those people who train without headphones and listen to the generic sh*t gyms pump through their speakers.

Two reasons...

1, I prefer to be more aware of my surroundings, and don't like the feeling of isolation I get from wearing headphones. Personality quirk, I suppose. Makes me feel vulnerable, like someone can sneak up behind me. I also don't wear headphones when I go running outdoors, as it makes me feel like I might get hit by a car or something. Even while taking the train to work, I prefer to pass the time reading my kindle rather than plugging up my ears. Just don't like headphones, I guess.

And 2, the crappy gym music makes me angry, and I then channel that hatred into lifting harder.

To each their own.

oh man, I'm the total opposite of this... All i want is isolation. When I lift, I avoid all eye contact, talking, etc... just stay the f away from me ha. Same way when i run, I just want to be in my own world. If I get hit by a car, that's their fault ;) as they say in aqua-teen hunger-force "pedestrains have the right of way; unless they're in the way"

That said, I also listen to the weirdest mix of music anyone could imagine... literally everything comes on at some point but the oddest is that my go-to are unrealisticlly poppy-girlband esque songs ha. TSwift for PR's every. damn. time.

Yeah, still listen to RiB and SoH too, even Seasons. My eyes/ears were introduced to 'modern musicianship' when I first heard Dimmu Borgir.

But yeah, I still think those Slayer albums sound really good, as in the production.

Reign in Blood has a very special place in who I am today. The 3 albums that changed my life like none other are:

1. Metallica's ...and Justice for All

Took a 10 year old and blew my mind. Made me realize I had some anger inside that this fed.

2. Slayer's Reign in Blood

Furthered my metal taste, fueled the anger further.

3. Morbid Angel's Alters of Madness

Couldn't believe what I was hearing. Bought the tape because the cover was cool and they had a pentagram in the logo. Had no idea my life would change forever. Here I am 24 years later and from the second that tape started playing my search for ever heavier and angrier music has never stopped.

Haha, tape, and the trusty old walkman...no easy track-skipping in those days...i had ...ajfa on vinyl, double album cos the songs so long lol

Interesting take on wearing headphones... I HAVE to wear mine to get the most out of my sessions, I use music to train angrily. I will still talk to other gym members though.

Listening to music helps me with lifting heavy and I in joy my workout more but I.do go a little slower then if I wasn't listening to anything.

Ok so it's happening. 216 is my dry waking weight 3 days in a row. When I say dry, I have hit the Aromasin 2 out of the last 3 days as I felt I was holding some water. And well all of yesterday and last night I pissed my life away nonstop. Woke up dry, hard and vascular at 216.

And the workouts are getting that new sensation of pumped up. Although I failed on a PR attempt on Deads, it was a good Deadlifting session.

This is one week in. Already stoked to throw up some pics, but I'll give it a couple more weeks. So far so good folks!!!

Awesome stuff man!!! I'm so excited to try this SARM... Following this log has really made me push towards using it now.

Effects one week in, love those acute benefits!

I remember riding my bike to Master of Puppets. I thought I was a badazz ;)

Anyone watching the Rousey fight tonight? Hope she smashes this chick.

Hell ya. A couple hrs ago I thought I'd never be able to watch girls mma but I'll be damned if she isn't one of the most exciting fighters I've ever seen. Nearly on or with Anderson silva for pure entertainment value.

Correira looks mean but Rousey is hotter so I will say Rousey!

I think by "mean" you mean "ugly" ha. Roused always looks like she's about to murder everyone when she comes out. That's mean

Yeah lol. I saw the stare down at the weigh in. Ronda looked pretty mean and then 3 seconds later smiled for the camera.

A woman who can kick your ass .. could make for some kinky times ha

Kinky and fun or completely immasculating ha

Did anyone else see anything about a Rousey and Mayweather fight.. Lol

Hahaha that would just be awful. Then again, it would be pretty funny to see rousey tear him apart. Not gonna lie, I'd HAVE to watch it

It would probably be one of the most popular fights yet.. Lol someone was telling me something about them setting it up and Mayweather is coming up with a bunch of crazy rules again or something. Who knows if who I heard it from knew what they were talking about though.

"I can't help but really say that I wonder how Floyd feels being beat by a woman for once," Rousey said. "I'd like to see him pretend to not know who I am now."

I cracked up when I saw that quote. Too good.

Mayweather is such a dbag. I hate watching his fights. No question he's an amazing fighter. He knows exactly what he needs to do to win and goes out and does it but gawddayum is it boring to watch

Well, that was pretty much what everyone expected ha.

Crazy volume on that push workout!

It is just a matter of focus, once you get into the zone you don't notice the music at all. I love my music too but I can crush the weights just as well without it. Just like the moron jumping rope in the middle of the DB section, I learn to ignore it and focus on my workout.

It will never happen. Ronda said she would never fight man because there is no situation where anyone should ever get excited about a man hitting a woman.

Decent Power Pull session this morning. Ate too much, drank too much, and didn't sleep enough last night with a house full over for the fight. But the wife and I managed to get up and leave the stragglers sleeping in the living room and hit the gym together. Her gym doesn't charge her guest passes on Sundays, so it's our day to go together. My workouts are never as good or intense, but it's a trade-off that is worth it a million times to get in there together. And I enjoy teaching her.She has to have a different gym than mine though. Mine's straight up meathead BB style. Her's has Zumba, and Yoga, and child-care. And a smoothie bar, sauna, all kinds of crazy stuff that I don't need to pay for!!

Your gonna need that yoga and sauna soon as thick as you getting... so did I read right 3lbs in like 2 weeks and massive pumps this might be exactly what my liver is dreaming about

You have read correctly. Actually in one week, but yes. And I know it's just starting so I try to keep it real and not to say too much prematurely. But it is definitely taking effect.

Also no negative side effects to speak of. Have felt uncommonly hypo a few times the last couple days though. Not typical when I'm eating this much of all macros. So I will keep a tab on that.

Are you sure you aren't the one with the Zumba gym membership.. Lol but I wish my gym had a sauna and pool. I almost went to Gold's just for the pool.

I just started going to a new gym that's full of guys on juice. Well and girls on juice for that matter.. Lol and my girlfriend finally got a membership with me there. It's completely different than the last gym I was at where I was one of the biggest guys there, which isn't saying much. Now I look like I weigh 120 pounds compared to a lot of the guys there.

If guilt is motivator number one, feeling like the smallest dude at the gym is number two.

There's actually kids that are a lot smaller than me there. But the main reason I joined this gym was because of how many guys there that are bigger and better than me. It gives me something to look up to and gives me better drive and motivation.
