Even the pronged one will be a reeeeeeally solid belt tho. Like ppl at your gym will come up and ask to see it, & be like, "Damn, this a legit belt". And I just tell em it's the best single lifting-related purchase I've ever made, because it is. If you crank it down, your core will be strong like bull.

I opted to get a single prong for simplicity.

feeling swole. may go back to my normal split of monday legs tuesday shoulders and chest thurs back fri arms since 5+days a week will be tough now that its nice out. i can still accomplish the main principals behind the MI40 with out following it to an exact T.
 
i did kill the f*ck outta my legs today. all on that nice 4010 rep count and 40 second rests. it really is puke city when you do it like that.

squats 2x8 1x7 1x6x4x4

hack squats 4x8 1x6x3x4

leg extensions 4x8 1x8x6x6

butt down lying leg curls ss butt up lying leg curls 4x8 each. quick explaination of butt down and butt up, when you squeeze your glutes down it shortens the head of your hammy, puts it in a more vulnerable position to be destroyed. butt up is the way normal people do a lying leg curl.

rdl with my toes on 5's to put my weight way back 4x8 1x8x6x3

legs are torched. im a bit mad because there were 3 skinny punk ass kids hogging the leg presses, i was gonna do a little more quad and ham work with those but they had to lift their egos with 20 plates and 2 inch ROMs so i missed out. :-(

I did see that Ben mentioned that people bastardize his program just using a lot of the principles out of it but he said he specifically designed the split and sessions the way they are for maximum impact and efficiency of growth. Now I don't really know how much will change but I think the next time I mess with it I will try to do it exactly as he says except maybe doing the 2 a day when the training is too long for one. Just curious to see if there is really a difference. With his education and background though plus the changes his "intentions" brought into my training and life. I figure I owe it to myself to actually give it a shot all the way through.

Right now as much as I am enjoying the program Matty set up for me I am still contemplating switching up due to my biceps being a bit touchy.

Idk I have zero recovery doing hams and back eod.. It really feels like I had been anyways lol. Maybe I'll have to raise calories to follow it
 
started week 2 of Mi 40 over today since i kinda missed a few days last week due to my fishing trip. i had to change it up a little, it called out for incline bb then incline machine press, both of which kill my shoulder.

thoughts so far on the MI40 training program. ouch. hurts my muscles in that good way, hurts my ego because i feel/look weak as sh*t. i mean 235x8 on bench? i was doing that 15 years ago LMAO. oh well i can feel it tearing sh*t up way worse than the normal 1010 rep count that most follow. bet i grow!

Oh sh!t, Hyde, thanks for telling me about lifting large. That belt is SICK. Fully understand why you like the lever now... After sets you just wanna pop that belt and let your gut expand when you breathe. If I ever buy another it'll be a lever.

A couple dudes at the gym have one and I'm so jealous. It would be nice to not have to deal with the typical belt style.
 
Bro I came home to my tackle warehouse order waiting for me :). I bought a new rod it's a 13 Fish rod which is a newer company.. This rod feels sick they make all of the components and it has high end recoil guides!!

My buddy as the lower mode 13 fish rod.. I used it the last time out and liked it a lot.. This one can only be better!! I'd get one.. I'm also a big fan of Powell and the diawa steez line. :)

That's the Model - Titan Support Systems is the brand. Titan makes some baller support equipment. Knee/elbow sleeves & wraps, all different sizes of belts, from a budget thick $50 belt w/ suede lining to over $300 for an xxxl custom 13mm (squat-only) Leverbelt w/ engraving & done in a hide like ostrich or alligator, etc. As good, or better, than anyone's, & everything is American-made to boot. And one of the few brands you're allowed to use if you compete in certain lifting federations.
 
It really is awesome to have it cranked tight & in a single second have all the belt tension off. Like I said, I'm never going back to prongs.

back to the grind today. im doing a light deload. im really tossed up between running the cube or mi40. i'd really really like to push the progress on my squats im really proud of the progress this far. i'd like to see 450 before year end. any more is icing on the cake. im pretty positive im around 400 right now. i may hit a max effort week next week, especially if i decide to use the cube.

i hit legs up. started with hacks and got carried away. went up to 505 and did a triple drop set -90 each drop. i started squatting and got to talking with a trainer at the gym, he complimented me on my squat form and as we got carried away bsing i realized i planned the deload. i did 4 more sets of light squats, 185 or so then did some leg curls and called it a day.

to anyone in need of protein or other supplements, i have to share this news with ya'll. i know bb.com forums SUCK fat penis, but i picked up a screaming deal last night in their store. cellucor protein, 3 2lb tubs, c4 pwo, cla, lclt and caffiene for UNDER 100 before shipping. i think it was like 107 with shipping.

If you all don't like that they took it away there is a thread for the updates they do that you can request they bring it back. Sometimes when they remove a feature it is because it was messing with the tables in the database. So may be gone for good but there is a place to ask for it back.
