I attend a mens group that is basically about how to be a man. You'd think at 37 I'd have that covered, but, well, it is what it is. The main things we concentrate on are integrity and accountability, and how they show up in your life. Not everyone there is aaddict, was an addict, whatever. That's the one group I hit every week without fail, even if I don't make an AA meeting!!! It's made a big difference in my life. It's loosely based on SWET, which is spiritual warfare effectiveness training.

cool,bonscott!

Serious question. Why would substance abusers be in a steroid forum? Sort of like the Olympic torch carrier running by a fuel refinery. Or am I mistaken?

I was just curious as to why those seeking recovery from addictions would resort to assistance from a steroid forum. That's all....I'm sure there are members that can share quality insight, but I was thinking that it would be hard to avoid another addictive substance....

TGIF!

yes,and there are also members with past history, that use bodybuilding as an alternative,im just offering support to them!

My wife asks me the same thing papa,... and I honestly don't have an answer! She believes I'm replacing a bad for a bad,.. but I've always been health conscious(I know an oxymoron), but when I came out of rehab in FEB., I had great bloodwork, no STD's, and everything was in good shape. I seemed to escape unscathed as far as health of my body,.. and I just want to look my best.

I'm sorry, but you make my head hurt.

I used to be addicted to Halo. Then I got off, then I got addicted to Call of Duty 4. Then I gave my xbox to my sister. True story.

When I drank, I'd sit for hours playing online games. After I quit drinking and had a bit of sober time, I started realizing all the other addictions I had. I quit playing all video games. In fact, I almost gave up the internet completely for quite a while. Had to have that time to "get my house back in order". I had let so much go that it wasn't even funny. The house was a $hit-hole. Took quite a while to get it back into shape. Here almost 5 years later, I'm still working on it, but it has come a long way.
