should a healthy 76 year old take prohormones or is this just to old?

I'm with nos. Get on doctor supervised TRT or if you're especially adventurous, considering doing it yourself.

In general, I wouldn't recommend the second choice (especially to younger folk), but TRT doctors will often give you only the bare minimum to put you at the bottom end of acceptable.

isnt trt for people who have no natty test so the stay on it forever?

Testosterone production naturally declines with age. At 76 years old, you're test levels are considerably lower than they were even 20 years ago.

If you go on TRT, you will be on it the rest of your life - but in your situation this is perfectly acceptable. You will feel significantly younger if you get your test levels normalized.

thanks i may talk to my endo about this i was hoping that i wouldnt have to do anything permanent though i would have preferred just a boost from a mild ph but i guess we dont always get what we want. thanks for the responses.

Dont seem so down about it! A PH would give you a temporary boost and then you'd probably be in worst shape then you originally were.

TRT is minimally invasive and when it kicks in, you'll feel 10 feet tall and bullet proof. This is coming from somebody with experience in the area.

I would also suggest you seek out a true TRT specialist instead of your endo. A specialist is more likely to dose you higher as they probably understand and appreciate the benefits of higher test values.

lol thanks weightshift i will try not to be down about it. i guess i just wanted the quick fix i guess i should feel blessed ive gone as long as i have without any trt.

I'm supprised no one has mentioned the fact that as one ages recovery becomes slower... also pro hormone/designer steroids cause all sorts of issues, mainly high blood pressure, cholesterol, raised live enzymes and test supression. Common sense says no its not a good idea if you want to stay healthy :).

Never heard of anyone still working out hard at 76. TRT would prob be the best bet though since you could prob get it easy. Have you ever had your hormones tested by the doc? If so what is your test at?

Well, for me this looks like fake... Anyway, at 76 i think its okay to stay with test forever. But i strongly reccomend talking to a doctor about it.

I think there is a thread in the "35 and over" or "anit-aging" section of a guy close to your age using transdermal formestane to boost his natural testosterone. There are pictures included and he looks pretty amazing.

I agree with everyone else, see your doctor first.

trt isnt as easy to get as age increases. my father was told even though his hormones were technically low that he was not a candidate for TRT due to BP being slightly higher than normal and prostate concerns.
