6 Week Fat Loss Challenge

Self punishment for my cheat 3 days ago, lol
Gets a bit monotone, I wish I had different flavors for the shakes.

Yes, I keep a stock of different flavors for that reason. PES Select and Modern both have awesome flavors and they mix milk and whey proteins so they are great. I could live on PB Cup and CNC Select and Caramel Cookie Stick Modern is awesome.

There is also a site where you can usually get 4-5 pounds of whey for around $25 on sale and they have about 20 different flavors...been considering that too for a change in flavor.

When I get hungry I research whey proteins and think, ooohhh...Chocolate Mint could be food. Graham Crackers? Yum. And then I wind up buying it because I'm hungry haha.

Amazing. I don't know how you guys do it. Two days in a row like that and I wouldn't be able to function.

First week is the worst by far. Once you get past that, it gets easier.

Well guys, time to put my chips in. Starting Monday, I will be tapering my calories down into what will be a 1000 calorie deficit. It'll be a 9 week cut, very organized and structured. I will probably eat the same thing every day for this duration of time. It'll be a fun ride.

Height: 5'11.5 (not sure why I include this here)

Training Max/Strength Levels (near 1RM): (just as a vague idea of where I'm at)
Bench Press: 275 lbs
Front Squat (I do not Back Squat, I am not a powerlifter): 280 lbs
Deadlift (no belt, I don't take true maxes because I train for longevity): 385 lbs
Overhead Press: 170 lbs

Sorry, I know that seems weird, but it's mostly cause in my age bracket of 20ish year old people (i'm 27) they're all much leaner than me.

In your 20's , 15% BF... one question: Are you single? :love:

LMAO. Recently got a girlfriend. Been about 6 months. She said I'm fat. It hurts....ahhahah.

Okay, you are in. Having an abusive girlfriend is a valid point.
We normally accept only hairy males over 40 with at least 25% BF for this competition.

ma70 - welcome aboard. Glad to have you. I am glad people are jumping in when it suits them...I would love to see this thread have a bunch of rounds of people just jumping in whenever and having others doing the same thing.

When I was in my 20's ...I didn't know many people below 20% bf though. You hanging out with a lot of drug addicts? Haha

Now...let us old folks show you how to work, hahaha.

Children puke. And it smells horrid.

PS - the dyes used to color skittles will permanently stain carpet and seatbelts.

PPS - don't let your kid have the whole bag of skittles in the car. They'll shove too many in their mouth.

Can confirm this. My daughter is currently serving active duty in the Marines, and during her last deployment my wife and I had our 3 1/2 year old granddaughter for 9 months. Was headed to the airport to fly to San Diego for her return and my grand daughter got sick (pretty sure it was mostly nerves / excitement). So we stop, clean her up as best we could, hurry to the airport and park the car for a week in the sun. You can only imagine how it smelled after that. No matter what we did, anytime it sat in the sun you could smell it. Ended up selling the car.

I like to train by myself. I'm a talker sometimes, so I don't need something to encourage it. I would not be opposed to training with someone who took their training as seriously as I do, if not more so because I know we would work and I like to learn

HIT4ME ....It looks like this might just take on a life of it's own! Would be fantastic to have this thread continue for several years, with new people joining in as they see others pushing and succeeding

I would rather have the gym to myself. I used to have a workout partner and never got shyte done.

The spotting was great when we actually focused. The problem is finding another person with the same focus and drive.

Most of the time I rather without, because I to am not crazy about people in general. ( everyone feels so entitled now amd thinks they deserve a trophy)
But I have had some good training days with partners. But overall the answer is no.

I am 43 years old, and I was just thinking about when I was growing up with family and childhood friends.. I can't count the people that was struggling with there weight and health issues growing up. The foods that we eat today and the environment that we live in has F##k us up.. I feel like sometimes we are evolving into a new human species..

I personally prefer training alone. But for safety reasons, I can see the purpose of having one. I had a workout partner in Iraq, that guy was perfect. We knew exactly what each other lifted and our rotation was precise. No bullshyt, no wasted time and gainz galore.
 
My workouts require too much concentration and are too time constrained/dependant to have a workout partner, so I usually workout alone.
