So I guess what everyone is saying is to get my sleep straightened out (not sure a plan for that yet...I'll try a very low dose melatonin, some zinc, and some magnesium). So there's no way to raise my test naturally? From the research I'm doing, I know I need some more Vitamin D3 and some more EFA's...I know I need to start lifting heavy as well (I haven't even started back to the gym yet...going tomorrow...but I have been exercising for a few weeks)...I know I have been living a sedentary lifestyle the past five years...so changing my diet a little bit with more red meats and strength training won't get me producing higher test levels? And supps can't enhance that more? I was hoping to not have to take Test the rest of my life...or at least postpone it...Spaniard, thebigT, anyone else have some thoughts on my logic or am I deluding myself...Reps please don't just push your products, I just want straight up advice...if they have any merit from non-reps, I MAY consider them...Thanks
As others have mentioned, zinc is a good thing to start taking. Many men are deficient in zinc. Also, get off the centrum silver. It's all coal tar derived vitamins, and is absorbed at less than 3%. I personally like life force by source naturals but, there are many multis that will help. Centrum is just throwing your money away.
When you were tested for test levels, did they do an estrogen serum level as well. Test and estrogen are antagonistic hormones in the body. For test to be high, estrogen needs to be low. You need to attack this both directions. I've been fighting this battle for almost a year myself. I'm only 28, and had severe estrogen dominance issues. I think I have a genetic predisposition to high estrogen levels. My dads current estrogen levels are in the 390's. Which is the very top of the scale. His dad, my grandfather, died of prostate cancer which is an estrogen dominant cancer.
I feel 100% different now than I did when I started this journey, and I've done it 100% naturally. There are three main focuses to getting your levels in check. First is weight loss, fat produces more aromataise which is the hormone that converts test into estrogen. You need to clean your diet up, and get on some diet stuff to help. I currently stack oxyelite pro, green coffee bean extract and I take a white kidney bean extract to block carbs along with clean diet. In 3 months I'm down 35lbs.
Second is blocking/ removing estrogen. You need to start taking aromataise inhibitors. DIM is the one I currently use. I take natures way DIM plus, and it seems to work the best out of the types I've tried. Also zinc acts as an aromataise inhibitor, and is a key building block in test production. Make sure it's a chelated form, so it actually absorbs. I'm currently taking twin lab zinc 30mg. Make sure you don't exceed 50mg a day from all sources combined, so make sure what your multi has +your supplemental zinc is less than 50.
Make sure all supplements are from reputable sources. Throw away anything from a Walgreens, or target or Walmart. It needs to come from a supplement store, GNC at the very least but stay away from GNC brand stuff. Or go on iherb.com and read reviews.
Lastly is increasing test. I saved this until last, and have only started it. I only take long jack for this. Source naturals tongkat Ali. Whatever tongkat you get, make sure it's at least 100:1 potency.
Try all that stuff, and you should start feeling better within a few months. Perhaps you will need to go an anabolic route, which admittedly I have little knowledge of. This is the reason I'm here, to learn more about that stuff should I choose to get into it for a muscle boost. I've set a goal to look better at 30 than I did at 20. I'm close to achieving that now, but truthfully I want to get ripped.
