Thought I would bring this to others attention after I saw it on ESPN running across the bottom of the screen.

Oh hell yeah! I am 35, but I have aspirations too. Most guys I know, my age, with a wife and kids and job, have pretty much resigned themselves to whatever it is they're doing, and/or mediocrity. I always wanted to compete in the olympics (cycling); too late now. I started judo 18 months ago, competed and won my division in a local tournament. A fellow judoka who's a belt above me and 2 years older just won gold at the nationals.

Guys like this inspire me. I wouldn't mind entering an mma match someday. If randy and this guy above can, in their 40's...

Good job on the tournament man!

the only difference is that he is entering Strikeforce to fight pro athletes. If you went into a local mma card, your opponent would probably be that guy that usually starts fights at the bar down the street. H.Walker is a great athlete but I would hate to see him get caught with something heavy. Maybe he can get a good stiff arm in there and KO the guy!

You could throw him a can and get some decent hype in there. Is Mike Bourke busy these days?

Thanks!

Yeah, I was talking last night to a guy at my gym who has been training 4-6 times a week at john machado's place for 3 years. Healthy sized dude, too, and smart. I'm pretty sure he could walk through the lowest tier guys at local mma matches pretty easy. Pro's would obviously be a whole different ballgame, yikes.
