3-AD on a cut?

Please dont reply with got search. I got search. But I would like to know opinions from those who've used it, if 3-AD might be conducive on a cut or a limited calorie recomp, for purposes of not loosing muscle/preventing catabolism. Any serious replys would be appreciated.

3-AD can be used on a cut or a recomp. I'm currently doing a cycle of 3-AD and Mass FX for recomp. It is mostly geared for a bulk cycle but I think you can still see some good results using it for a recomp. Here is a link to someones log who is using 3-AD for a cut.

That's my plan. 3-AD, MassFX and R2 as a kick@$$ recomp. I realize I won't be maximizing the effects of this stack due to the less then suffice amount of calories for maximal growth, but I'm down from a bulked 230lbs cut down to 212lbs and now its time to make LBM gains ONLY from here on end.

Though I don't know personally how it is on a cut/recomp...give me a week and I'll be able to let you know how it's going!!

That's right...I'm FINALLY going to run it!!!! :head: :head:

My recomp is going to be slightly unconventional. I recomped down to 212lbs from 230lbs. I was lifting primarily heavy loads to stimulate and maintain neural strength while I was losing all that body mass. I actually increased slightly in strength at 212lbs compared to when I was 230lbs. Not in all body parts, but one of the most important, Deads. 495lbs x 2@212lbs as oppose to 475lbs@230lbs. However, my neural adaption(s) have reached a true peak. My CNS has stopped responding, so I'm transitioning back to a more hypertrophic regiment, lighter load/greater volume.

Due to the fact that I'm still trying to recomp and still restrictive on my calories, on top of doing perhaps more cardio then is necessary (i hit a 10 mile mt trail for 2hrs 49 min last Sat), I felt I needed a booster. Something that will augment the hypertrophic process despite what recomping entails.

I don't intend on making all the positive gains that I've read about with people who have tried to maximize hypertrophy with 3-AD/MassFX; with the luxory of hyper-caloric (plenty of carbs) and no to low cardio environment, but I've been lifting long enough to appreciate even the slightest amount of gain in LBM.

With that said, I size up like an unnatural beast, but I have to work an excessively, exaggerated amount of over the top, profuse exertion of sheer surmounting effort to lose a pound, maybe two a week, so I may hypertrophy better then I'm guesstimating on this stack.

Wow...dat dere is shure a lot of big woids...

I got ya, man. Slightly unconventional, yes. But to be in touch with your own body and how you work is truly an accomplishment. Good for you! I'm getting to that point, slowly but surely. I just don't have the discipline down ... or the desire to look "perdy" either!

Go hard!

here is what matt cahill had to say when asked if 3-ad would be good for a recomp.....
Of course! The formula combines a very strong anabolic blend that is ideal for preserving muscle mass while trying to reduce fat stores and PLCAR. PLCAR is clinically proven to enhance the shuttling of fatty acids into muscle cellular mitochondria to be burned as a fuel source for greater energy production and is one of the reasons people feel warm when they take 3-AD.

for me 3-ad did seem to add some water weight. probably expected since is it technically phera. which for a cutting cycle is typically shunned.
i used 3ad as bulk cycle and didn't really feel i gained any additional fat - probably stayed at the same %.
but in pct i seemed to get even leaner/more defined. i think it was the water weight dissappearing.
so overall i'd say it is good for this use.

Well, it seems that the consensus is it might be ok and theres no really negatives, so I think I will give it a shot, dont think Im gonna all out cut anyway, my heads not in the game right now, so it will just be a slight deficit trying to recomp, who knows, it might be just what Ive been looking for to fill a gap in products for my next adventure, and if its a bust on low cals, its only money;)

And, if I dont see what I want within the first couple of weeks, I will just save the rest for my next bulk.

i'd save the Retain2 till PCT. 3-AD should keep cortisol levels at bay. Adding Retain2 may send them too low.
