2018 NFL Draft & Season Chat Thread

In all the camp videos I've watched from the Saints, it looks like the defense is really clicking and giving the offense a tough time. Love it!

Pre-season:
Mayfield with 2 TD's vs the Giants (Then again its preseason)
Luck was back in action for the first time in a long time (good to see this)
Josh Allen (Bills) looked good, but the other 2 QB's looked sharp and barley missed a pass to their receivers
Bears offense looked lackluster vs the bengals, besides dalton pick 6 (Receiver slipped) the offense looked sharp and mixon ran hard
Tannehill first game back since tearing his ACL, looked good vs the Bucs. Bucs kicker missed his first PAT after going 100% last year and not missing one.
Dobbs looked solid for the steelers with a huge TD pass to Ju-Ju, Eagles rookie TE looked awesome with 4 catches and 66 yards.
Brees sat for the saints opener in the preseason. savage looked decent, and Hill was dynamic throwing and running the ball. Kessler was on point for the jags
Redskins blew a 17 point lead as Pats rallied with 26 points.
Lamar Jackson led baltimore to 4 scores on 8 drives. Rams sat most of their starters for the preseason opener.
Watson was back for Houston but only played a series, KC Corners still seem the be the weak point in the KC Defense.
The packers sat most of their starters for their game vs the Titans. But still crushed them 31-17
49'ers saw 5 possible starters go down on the first week vs the Cowboys.

In my lifetime, our best QB has been Chad Pennington. He wasn't terrible, but that is not a positive either.

I am hoping Bridgewater keeps killing it, use him as trade bait and get an OL man next year. Our OL was awesome with Mangold, Ferguson, and crew.

I would not be against not playing Darnold this year. I do not see us having playoff aspirations and he can learn under a good teacher, McCown.

Pennington has the best season out of the AFC east since Brady's reign of terror. But definitely go with Bridgewater. He's gonna raise his value by playing. Darnold is gonna take over the franchise. But i wouldnt even want him playing yet.

- Darnold looked OK, Bridgewater IMO should be the starter based off how he is playing. Picking him up was a steal and I really think he will shine as the season / preseason does go on.

Steelers vs Pack
- Rodgers played 1 series with a TD to Jimmy Graham
- QB's looked shaky for Pitt, I am not sold on either of the young QB's to replace ben in the future. Really happy to see my hometown boy James Connor looking awesome at RB and had a nice TD run.

Eagles vs Pats
- Foles has a shoulder injury he says its not bad, but who knows until we see more evaluation and treatment
- Brady looks GOAT as always

Lmao. No one knows anymore. Someone will get hurt or suspended and a desperation signing will occur. Idk, he sure did screw himself. I get the diva wide receiver mentality. But if you cant catch the ball anymore...might want to chill on the antics.

I doubt he stays with them. He hits free agency after the year, so my guess is he goes somewhere else next year

That's most likely. But he'd be smart to sign a long term back loaded contract and learn from Brees. Although the signing bonus from another team will probably sway him.

He could. He is only signed through 2019. And just said in a recent interview last year he started playing like every game is his last.
