2017 NFL Draft & Season Chat Thread

JAX @ NE

Both QB's played very good football. Jax came out and got the early lead, but what does Tom Brady do best? Win games and provide comebacks. Gronk went out of the game, but that did not stop Amendola & cooks for being the clutch receivers. New England's flea flicker gave them energy to drive down the field to make it 20-17. Amendola then had a great punt return to give NE great field position and secure yet another TD to seal the victory. Put the game in Brady's hands and they come away victorious. NE advance to the SB

Anybody else find this funny that this was released prior to the games today about the SB?

What a fantastic game that was this afternoon. I have to admit, I was very impressed with Bortles and the rest of the Jags squad. That was high quality playoff football.

Vikings have no answer to Foles and the Eagles.
I don't think Nick could of played a better game as their offense looked deadly. A passer rating of 144 going into the 4th and 300 yards and 3 TD's. A pick 6 and a turnover by Case did not help the vikings cause, but they never got a spark on offense, nor could they stop Philly.

This one is going to run away as the Eagles will head to the SB to play New England.
I am going to guess NE will be favored by 3-4 points in that game. It should be a great test for Philly if they can handle Brady and their receivers.

Anyone that beats Bad England. Will make me happy at this point. Jacksonville played a hell of a game against them

I just can't see the eagles having what it takes but we shall see.

My assistant is a Vikings fan boy and I was actually hoping they would pull it off but man they are getting destroyed.

This Eagles team is something else. They're hot right now and that's scary

No I only route for one team, the Saints....But atleast I'm not a Lions Fan.
Yeah, being a Lions fan would suck. Right LTL?

I don't know where that is, but I do know you could use this link:

I look forward to watching your Saints play the Patriots in the .... Oh wait, they got booted out of the playoffs by the Vikes. I almost forgot about that.

That was a great game. It really looked like they were going to hang on there for a while. It's a shame too, as I would have much preferred to see the Eagles play them.

Although, I have to say I was a much bigger fan of the night game. Now that was high quality playoff football.

Thank God, I got someone to correct my vocabulary at 0430 hrs. Right after I wake up.

We played tough. Bortles has very limited abilities and the play calling tried to utilize him to his max. We barely fell short. It wouldn't be as frustrating if it wasn't for the questionable penalties on us that led to two of their TDs and the no calls against us. The worst was that hold on the run that iced it. How do you not call that?

We had chances to win, though. We all knew the refs would be pro-NE. Despite that, we had some chances. Hopefully, we can bring in someone else as QB (Smith, Cousins?) or at least to compete for the spot. With a better QB, we could really be special. Invalid Link RemovedInvalid Link Removed

One team was playing high quality football in the night game. Lol.

I mean you guys (Jags) did end up getting that fumble call from Jack ripping the ball from Lewis. I was honestly shocked they didnt find some BS rule to keep that ball in the hands of the Pats.

Hey now. Nothing wrong with being a lions fan at all. Way better than being a bandwagon fan.

Doesn't suck at all. Never disappointed as you know going in its likely we will blow it. Lol

I will say there is nothing worse than someone who for instance likes the Yankees, cowboys and Lakers. Whoever was good at the time they grew up. I'm Detroit everything. Although it's painful at least I'm a true fan! :)

Yeah, except they blew the play dead when Myles Jack had nothing but green in front of him. They did uphold the fumble but stopped it from being a TD by the defense.

I don't remember the replay well enough to know if there was nothing but green in front of him...but wouldn't he have been down by contact regardless? I thought he went to the ground with Lewis?

He didn't recover the fumble until he rolled away from him. That would have been another lengthy review but multiple websites believe that the whistle negated a TD. It could have gone either way, I suppose.

They should have let the play go and then review it. They review all TD anyway. The Ref was smiling and celebrating with Pats. Definitely questionable. But, the refs have been atrocious this year. Missing calls, calling non-calls, blowing plays dead. Unfortunate.

I'm just glad we were in the conversation this year. I'm looking forward to a good Super Bowl. Either the Eagles are getting their first or the Pats are tieing the Steelers with 6. Both teams are very talented. Good for Foles.

I agreed with that call
That's the thing. There wasn't a "call" regarding Jack being down because the refs blew the play dead. But either way, congrats on the comeback. The GOAT got it done again. He's a beauty to watch in the 4th Quarter.

I'm just busting them on you, have to have a little fun.

Speaking of the past

The Chiefs first two wins of the season came against the same two teams playing in the Super Bowl. The Chiefs have beat 6 of the last 8 eventual Super Bowl participants in the same regular season.

And once again.......we choked in the playoffs.

Ha

in 91 the colts went 1-15...I was still a fan.

used to get some really good seats for cheap back then, lol.

I remember the days when the pats stunk too... you could have walked in and got any seat you wanted.

I really thought they were making a mistake when they benched Bledsoe to start brady...shows you how smart I am, lol.

I just wish irsay would have kept manning for at least one more year after drafting luck...luck would have learned a ton from manning!!!

but money talks....wishes walk

Bledsoe was decent, he had a huge arm but not much else.

remember those quarterback contests they used to have? Bledsoe always won for longest throw....who knew brady would be that good-other than belichick I guess...belichick had manning's number, only one who could out game him.

Manning was legit, I loved watching him play.

I am a life long Saints fan since 1980. And since we dont have a baseball team and I live in Detroit now, I follow the Tigers ever since I been here. Also like the Wings. Havent been big into basketball since I was a kid, but I was always a fan of Larry Bird more than any team in basketball.

thank you...manning/dungy/polian will always have a place in my heart for bringing super bowls to indy-who would have thunk it....I thought irsay was full of it when he hired dungy and polian then drafted manning and said they would win a super bowl-then they win 2...great memories!!!

Who would have thought Mickey Loomis, Sean Payton, and Drew Brees would have brought a Superbowl to New Orleans
