2017 NFL Draft & Season Chat Thread

Sure, but he's been dealing with a knee issue all season lol.

so having the 6th most attempts on the year, along with a recent stretch of 3 consecutive weeks with 26+ touches prior to the Baltimore game, to go along with a week 1 performance that included 30 total touches would be "dealing with a knee issue all season."??? The only thing that hindered his performance was the Ravens Defense this past week.

by no means is this some sort of magic trade that turns the Eagles into a Dynasty...but he's coming off a pro bowl year, followed by glimpses of success this year (2, 120+ yard performances), while being stuck in arguably the worst Offense in the League.

He's now joining a team where he won't be asked to be a bell cow, which should benefit him...and all Philly had to do was give up peanuts, and maybe a side of Cheese Whiz, while only picking up the rest of his rookie contract.

Hey man who knows, he coulda been playing pick up basketball or something lol. But like I said, I think its a phenomenal deal for the Eagles and really should put their offense over the top. The advanced statistics explain why he is having a slow year and they mainly point to ****ty OL play.

I see what you did there...

Mmm...cheese whiz

Howie Roseman: Blount is still Eagles starter, Ajayi was a move for the future of the franchise (we will see how this actually plays out).

Also, it looks like Josh Gordon is meeting with the NFL on Wednesday to discuss reinstatement.

Browns Front Office apparently went home early yesterday and missed opportunity to trade for Garoppolo. Then, to top that off, they reportedly agreed upon trade for McCarron with Bengals and forgot to call the league to finalize before the deadline (were too busy celebrating).

Just LOL at the Browns.

Wow... Texans reportedly fear QB Deshaun Watson tore ACL in practice (non-contact).

That sucks for Houston. Watson had looked phenomenal so far this season. This is going to make it very unlikely that they do anything in the playoff race. The day after Houston gets its first MLB title, they lose their shot at making a playoff run in the NFL.

My prediction 28-20 Bills

Too bad about Watson, he was looking good.

Bills vs Jets is a prime example of why TNF should be cancelled. What a joke matchup

I know this injury is much bigger than fantasy football but I almost traded Brees earlier this week because I had picked up Watson 2 weeks ago. Decided to hold on another week and I am thankful I trusted my gut on that one. Regardless, even as a Colts fan, I definitely feel for the kid. Terrible turn for him.

I feel so bad for Watson. I know it benefits my Jags but I wanted to see them bring it. Close losses to the Pats, Chiefs, and Seahawks... The Texans could have maybe won the division as they were not the same team we blew out in Week 1. Shame he's out. Also a shame that Luck isn't coming back. I don't think Luck could have turned the Colts into an instant powerhouse but he is always a tough tough cookie for defenses. A lot of pressure on the Titans and Jags now.

he Cleveland Browns amended the contract of stalwart offensive tackle Joe Thomas this week, making him the highest-paid offensive lineman in the NFL in 2018.

The deal includes $3 million in new money over 2017 and '18, including a $1.5 million roster bonus paid this past week, plus a raise of $1.5 million in base salary for 2018, which will now be $10.3 million.

Just LOL @ me.

Dropped Alshon 2 weeks ago and picked up Agholor because he had been getting more target, receptions, TDs, and literally right after dropping him he starts playing well.

Tenn slides by Baltimore 23-20. Flacco with a few picks . Flacco threw it over 50 times!
Rams absolutely slayed the NY Giants. Goff threw for 4 TD's and 311 yards.
Carolina just passes by Atlanta. The defending super bowl contenders are having a rough year. ATL only had 53 years of total rushing.
Houston without Watson falls to Indy. Savage was 19/44. Brissett had 300 yards of passing, good performance by him.
Tampa Bay's offense looked awful. Both QB's together barley mustered up 100 yards of passing. New Orleans wins easy 30-10
Philly puts up 50 points as Wentz destroyed Denver. Ajayi in his first game as an eagle put up 70 yards and a good performance.
Jags controlled the game from the start as Cincy's offense continues to struggle. They win with ease 23-7.
Zeke and Prescott both had a good game to help ensure a victory over KC
AP ran 35+ times for Arizona, putting up over 150+ yards on the ground today. They win over SF.
Seattle and Washington went down to the wire. Washington's offense was bad, but Wilson's 2 picks help The redskins secure a late TD and win.

Was a good one, Green won round 1 for sure
Woody bbartsche It was a bunch of bull**** that Ramsey was ejected. He pushed Green after the play, which might be a 15-yard penalty at the worst. He literally didn't do anything as Green tried to emulate Georges St. Pierre and then risked breaking his hand by punching Ramsey's helmet. Completely ridiculous that the refs saw both as equal participants and not Green as a little diva who lost his cool.

Oakland and Miami was a much better game then expected. Lynch with 2 TD's and both QB's played awesome. Was actually a fun game to watch (with my power going in and out). Hope to see more games like that this season.

They got him for instigating it. That's what the refs said after the game. Wasn't fair, but refs call. Mike Evans threw punches and nothing happend. Football depends on the refs

Ain't that the truth. It didn't make us lose, so I can live with it.

I'm still laughing at Rob Kelley having the most productive 18 yards on 14 carries I've ever seen. He averaged 1.3 yards per carry but scored 2 TDs, as many as Seattle's entire offense.

Why did you think AZ was going to beat Seattle without Palmer?

Also, hate to see Sherman go down with that achilles rupture. The dude is a beast, and he is hilarious. Legitimately one of my favorite players.

Why did you think AZ was going to beat Seattle without Palmer?

AP Has been a beast in the run game. Which they never had a chance to get going.
HIs fumble on the first play of the game did not help either.
They hung in that game despite the lack of Offense. Seattle has a very weak O-Line (which had more injuries) ,and their run game is weak, but Russell played a very good game to secure the W.

also -> The Seattle Seahawks could be scrutinized in the coming days for a possible violation of NFL policy Thursday night when quarterback Russell Wilson was sent off the field for a concussion check.

I thought it was a recipe for a potential upset. Wilson was nearly the only thing offensively on the field that worked in that game. Had Stanton completed more than 50% of his passes or had Peterson ran just a bit bitter than his 1.3 ypc across 21 carries... this was quite winnable for Arizona. You take away that play where Wilson dodged multiple defenders and threw a duck that was luckily caught by Baldwin and ran 54 yards, that might have been one less TD or even an interception. It was still super ballsy to actually pick Arizona to win, but I dig it.

My Jags squeaked out with a win today. I still don't agree with the refs ruling Gipson down on that fumble returned for a TD, but we still got it done... despite Bortles' absolute best attempt to ruin it for us...

The Steelers squeaked by today too. I was surprised to see that. The Colts are so hard to pinpoint this season.

I couldn't watch the game, but from the updates I was getting it seemed like the Colts completely blew it in the second half. They could have 3 more wins than they do if they would figure out how to play a full game of football instead of just a half (one or the other).

More or less. The big event that sparked the Pittsburgh rally was a pick thrown by Brissett at the beginning of the 4th Quarter where Pitt got it at Indy's 10, which then turned into a TD and 2PC to tie the game.

Ugly win for Pitt on the road vs Indy. Steelers strike late to win 20-17
NO Blows out Buffalo 47-10. Ingram ran for 3 TD's and over 130 yards
GB With a win on the road and without rodgers. They ran the ball well and controlled the line of scrimmage made it easy for Hundley
TB without Winston brings home a victory at home vs the Jets. 2 Turnovers for the jets and a very sluggish offensive game
Jags in OT take it over the LA Chargers even with Bortles throwing 2 INT's
The browns lose again (Go figure) to Detroit. Stafford continues to play well and put up good #'s 250 yards and 3 TD's
Tenn beats Cincy 24-20. TENN Dominated on the ground and controlled the line which wore out Cincy. Even in the end Dalton and AJ Green's long 70 yard TD was not enough to come back.
MINN wins on the road vs Washington. Keenum throws for 4 TD's. Both QB's lit it up through the air and provided. A strong 2nd quarter just put washington too far behind to come back.
Dallas without Zeke and the Falcons piled it on. Dak was sacked 6 times behind one of the best offensive lines in the NFL. Not a good showing for Dallas.
NYG & SF two of the worst in the league battled it out. Eli did get the start and was not benched, but SF Finally gets their first win. Leaving the Cleveland Browns the only winless team in the NFL.
Houston on the road @ The LA Rams and Goff went off. over 300 yards, 3 TD's. LA Rams are looking strong, then again Houston lost Watson and Savage isnt the best QB in the league.
