I'll be honest, I have merely been skimming this thread lately, because if I read one more quote from Finebaum I was going to have a stroke.

I'm back though, it's almost game time. If only there were more LSU fans around here for me to make fun of for their horrible english and their doomed football team. Did I mention Cajuns love a good corndog?

Listening to Finebaum yesterday was a surreal experience. It almost makes me embarrassed to say I'm from the state of Alabama. Loving the UA football team from 2,400 miles away is definitely the way to go. It also re-familiarized me with the perspectives of people like our beloved board belligerent. If AU wins, he'll celebrate it as a personal victory. It will define him. And, when the NCAA takes it all away, he'll just embrace the incestuous "The Family vs. the world" mentality that justifies cheating because, "Hey, we have to. Alabama does it."

It's truly pathological.



Btw, don't think I didn't notice you dodged my Iron Bowl question. Now, you're definitely dead to me. :sgrin:

Can't say I don't blame the University for getting rid of him... Who's out there to replace him though?? This would set us back another 3 years.. As of right now, we have some good talent coming in next year, BUT, they'll be freshman. Pretty much what our D is this year.

Oh well, maybe the Lions will be better next year...:sad3:

Way to call me out publicly. Here is the way I feel about it:

I hate Auburn. I hate Alabama less. I would definitely prefer that Alabama would win, BUT that most likely invites Boise St. into the national title game and ends the streak of SEC national champions.

Still, I'm calling for an Alabama victory. Tuscaloosa will be too much for Auburn to overcome. However, We might as well not send Auburn to the NCG anyway, they are just going to have to vacate that win eventually.

I think I just convinced myself.......

Harbaugh is a lock if they get rid of RichRod. He'll never have another season at Stanford like this one, and I'm sure he's aware of that. Luck will be in the NFL next year, and it will be back to 7-5 for the Cardinal. From what I've read, Harbaugh has a "Michigan clause" in his contract.

Michigan will never hire the Mad Hatter.

Scarbinsky's a tool. I have to admit, it tickles me to see so many AU fans spending Iron Bowl week talking about what happens after Bama wins. On the contrary, I don't remember any conversations like that when the situation was reversed last season.

You know as well as I do, losing to Alabama destroys your season on multiple levels. Even AU winning a BCS trophy would be laughable to Bama fans if they can't win the state championship.

Either way, that dirty program is going down in flames over the long hail anyway. Bama fans will get the last laugh on this season either way. But I'm not telling you anything you don't already know.

Still waiting for you to answer my wager.
 
LSU doesnt seem to compain much when they had TWO losses a few years back. Florida doesn't either the year they won when AUBURN beat them.
 
With the kind of attention people will be paying to AU's recruiting practices, that #24 current class will spiral down even further.

Kind of strange isn't it? Auburn had a top 3 recruiting cla$$ last year. Then, after Miss. State notifies the SEC of the Newton solicitation... and Lowder gets indicted... not even in the top 20 right now. Even after all the success this season.

Different season. Boise had the preseason ranking and the schedule they needed to be in perfect position if there's only one AQ unbeaten. Cry to ESPN.
 
I really don't think Boise will make it even if Auburn loses this game. I might be wrong but I still don't think a non-aq will make the NC game. Them getting blown out by 40 and exposed will cause way to much drama in the BCS.

Sorry BUCK, I didn't mean for it to sound like a slight. I was just thinking I could hear Boise knob-slobbers like ESPN saying something to the extent of, "Well, they couldn't do any worse." And I did hear that on ESPN right after I posted it.

As much as I love the SEC-Big Ten back-and-forth in these threads, I have a ton of respect for a traditional, defensive-minded power like Ohio State.

While I'm sure you're thinking Pasadena, I think a Bama-OSU match-up in the Capital One Bowl would be incredible.

Cam told Mullen he wanted to come to MSU at the Egg Bowl. Daddy told us that he wanted to wait. Then daddy started making demands. Mullen and Les Koenig told them no. Daddy stalled longer, tried to get Oklahoma to make a deal, they declined as well. Then daddy got Auburn involved and the deal was made. Daddy tried to get MSU to counter offer and Mullen told them no way. Mullen basically knew it when he went skiing in Utah 4 days ago. MSU will now offer Favre and hope they get Brunetti and Favre. Favre definitely wants to come to MSU and I wouldn't be surprised to see Brunetti come too. It is not the end of the world and we might be better off with this group. But make no question about it, Newton was bought and any coach involved with it knows daddy was shopping him.

So if this story is true.. you're telling me that Bob Stoops is in deep **** too for lying to the NCAA about this situation. He wanted to lie SOOO bad that he even figured he'd make it public so everyone could see how big of a liar he is. People talk **** on every forum. Doesn't mean it's true. This really might be the first time that a fans forum has accused a player of being baught AFTER they lost out on their prize recruit. Wow. I guess there is firsts for everything.

For #1 - He didnt BORROW it. His friend baught it and traded it for laMichaels 2000 Mustang so he wouldnt get "mean notes put on his poor wittle mustang". 2000 Mustang < 2003 Range Rover .. HMMM. Even trade? No. If this is going on, you can be assured that much more is going on too. I believe the rule states that you CANNOT RECEIVE ADDITIONAL BENEFITS for being a student athlete. If he wasn't a football player but was working at the local Ihop cleaning toilets would someone offer him this trade? I'll think about this for a while and let you know.

For #2 - YES I DO. Anyone with a brain does. Stoops would of been smart to just keep quiet. Why put news out there that this didn't happen if it did. Doesn't sound like a genius PR move to me. But I guess you're smarter than Stoops and his staff. The FBI and 28 Investigators have said NO COMMENT because that is the policy of the FBI you moron. When the OJ case was being investigated did they give the public a play-by-play daily on the case. You really get dumber everytime I talk to you, in your words -- "you're PAST FULL RE-TARD"

That move by AU was GENIUS. Did you notice how quickly the media storm slowed down after noone talked about the situation anymore? Finebaum hasn't been able to even find a way to talk about it this week. More convo on UAT not letting Auburn do the tiger walk this week than there was about Cam Newton.
