Man this is an awesome last 2 minutes of this LSU/Arkinsas game.

Oh... over time.

Great game. VICIOUS hits.

(Btw... that LSU receiver didn't get out-of-bounds on that final drive of regulation. He better send that ref a Waffle House gift card!)

Ha, missed FG!!

Just gotta say it...

Go Trojans!!

Go Navy!!

For christ's sake, if you knew anything or even watched any games yesterday, Illinois played Cincy.:deal:
Do you really want to call me out on the fact that the Big Ten was represented by Illinois on Friday? I would definitely want to point out that my conference was made to look foolish by little Cincinnati.

So, two mediocre SEC teams took care of the ACC's divisional champs today. Yes, it's such a down year for the SEC. They only have:

-TEN teams with 7+ wins, which means...
-TEN teams playing in bowl games
-TWO 12-0 teams playing a de facto national championship semi-final
-A representative in the BCS National Championship Game for the FOURTH straight year

But don't cry for the SEC... no, not a single tear. It's only a temporary setback.

We'll be back.

:lol::lol::lol:

Both SEC teams played impressive games today against their ACC opponents. Clemson looked outright lost at times trying to solve the South Carolina defense.

I'm really looking forward to our SEC championship game next week; it's going to be one hell of a game.

SEC, SEC, SEC!!!

Let's see...

Flagrant gay-bashing: CHECK
Over-assertion of supposed heterosexuality: CHECK

Basically, you're Chris Cooper's character in American Beauty. Yep, you're the colonel. (Well, without the military experience.) That explains your bitterness and self-loathing.

You know, you're the one who used the term red herring a while back. :ponder:

Anyway... just know that I am tolerant of you.

So, moving forward... Pitt lost to WVU, UNC lost to NC State, S. Carolina beat Clemson, Miss. State beat Ole Miss, and Oklahoma has a double-digit lead on Oklahoma State. Wow... gotta appreciate the unpredictability of rivalry games.

You dont have a choice, without this forum, you would feel incredibly alone.

Im a rare case where I am who I am and Im not overcompensating, I just am. I dont have anything to prove to any of you. If I was dieing for your affections, I think it would have shown by now.

Rivalry games are sweet though.

What's up with the homophobia on here? (((facepalm)))

You and the Texan closet-case should hang out.

Homophobia /= strong dislike. Thats just what libtards say to polarize the issue. Textbook, like in thank you for smoking.

In the same since people say "gay rights" instead of what they really are, gay liberties. There arent any rights besides those explicitly given, we just have an insane sense of entitlement. If you want proof progressive/liberal bull**** fails, look at your state.

Methinks thou doth protest too much.

That sound.... that slurping sound...

It's me. Licking my wounds. Dang that hurt! Mallot just cannot perform well under pressure. Honestly, was it just me or were there not a dozen or so missed holding and pass interference calls in the last half? Joe Adams has a concussion from that helmet to helmet hit.

I know, I sound like a titty-baby.

I'm looking forward to the Bama and Florida match up.

There should be no field goals in OT. That hit on Adams was savage. Couldn't believe he kept playing, much less that he caught the TD and took another blast!

Well keeper "titty-baby" Corningstone, I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and replaced SE with TE for a brief period. I look forward to another WB thread... when once again, instead of just co-DRSE, you and I can be... co-people.

I don't get it. I'll have to link the article where a writer talks about it.
But my point is why can't he rotate UM and FSU to where one of us is home each year?
That keeps the 7 home games.

Still remains he'd rather have all rent a win teams going forward OOC.
(Let's face it - the Noles will be mediocre for a while more while UM is improving.)

The retarded thing is that the traditional game was UF-UM. That dated back to the 20's.
FSU only came into the picture in the 50's.

Anyway.

I'm with you that the big 3 "Florida Teams" should play each other every year, but I know you're also a bit of a Gator hater, J. I loathe UM all the same, though. ;)

If you were at the game then you were right across the street from where I work. I'm probably going to end up going through USF eventually myself for their CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) program. My wife actually has a bachelors degree from both UF and USF.

Well dunno what to say. GT has had trouble with big, athletic front 7's during Johnson's tenure.
That's one big reason we thumped their O. We just had the offense that UNC didn't (they have a better DL than UM).

Clemson shows they are well, Clemson. They sh*t the bed each year. Like clock work.

We were better than them but that was during Jacory's stretch where he wasn't taking care of the ball.

That loss hurt bad. If UM had won - pretty sure they'd have rolled over UNC to won the Coastal.

Wait till next year, again...

(*snif) I'm verclempt, RR. Yes, the WB experience was one of those things we all look back on with a sigh.

Agreed on your no field goal in OT point.

I agree my man. I'd like to see us head-to-head way more often then we have been.

If this comment was from the fan of a team that has accomplished ANYTHING at all a response would be warranted, but it's not.

Why not???? they are a big 10 team and everyone said the big10 was done playing as of last week. BTW..i was surprised the points that illinois put up on cincy.

Tebow is one of the greatest players to EVER play the game of college football (playing in his final home game), and yet you continue to make yourself look like an utter moron with these type of comments?

You and the rest of your lame Big 10 conference have fun watching the national....I mean, SEC championship game next saturday, dipsh*t. :wave2:

Chris Leak was the best also. Look at his credentials in the pros:deal: wait!! what credentials?? Still, the jumpshot pass is and always will be the best thing ever as long as the 22 y/0 virgin does it.:love:

BTW..i was surprised the points that illinois put up on cincy.

Why? UConn put 45 on them... and still lost. I wouldn't say defense is the Bearcats' strength.

Too bad for Cincy that Pitt lost. That means a win over the Panthers won't leapfrog them over TCU. If Texas were to lose to Nebraska (yeah, right), it may have vaulted them into the BCS title game. I guess a lot of people in Fort Worth will be rooting against another lone star team and hoping for a Blackshirt Resurrection next weekend.

Yeah, Higher education is equally important for the big 10 unlike the extended season and illiteracy of the boyz from da south.

You do realize that illiteracy is the inability to read or write... right? You know, an illiterate person, in an attempt to communicate, might capitalize the "h" in higher, but not the "B" or "T" in Big Ten, and then top it off with some Ebonics. Just sayin'. :bigok:

So in your conventional wisdom (sarcasm being applied heavily), because he's not playing professional football, he's not an accomplished athlete? You seriously just grasp at straws, Plenny.

Sink this into your tiny skull: Florida is at the top of its game (and they have been for many years now), and Penn State is simply a joke. The only team in your sad conference that I even have respect for is Ohio State. You can continue to rationalize your delusional ramblings all you want; reality is a b*tch though, ain't it?

Stoops to ND

Arkansas, Texas A&M, Auburn Rising.(barring coaching changes and alumni interference)

I would love to see A&M pick up Tubby or Harbaugh but :(. Sherman is not bad, he is a pro coach and with that you need a pisston of talent. 18 freshman played in the UT game I heard, so they will be dangerous soon. And Id put Kyle field against Death Valley anyday. They dont get quiet when their team is down. :)

Petrino is doign good things and Arkansas is looking great. I semi dread hearing pig sooie for the years to come but...oh well.

Miss State, the new school in Mississippi? Sorry USM, no one gives a damn about you still.

Who else is ready for the BCS cluster****? Hopefully 5 teams go undefeated and force a new format. 5 teams would also help the case against a plus one format. Top 8 playoffs!

I'm ready for the Horned Frogs to win it all and tell all of us we are retards.

I for one would love a play off.

I get my computer back today and internet tomorrow.
I moved from Baton Rouge to Arlington, VA last month and just closed on an expensive ax condo in the Clarendon neighborhood.
I'll be on more often now.

Didn't my Arkansas team beat LSU (in Baton Rouge no less) the year they destroyed your Buckeyes in the National Championship game?

Oh yeah, they did.

............served.

Seriously dude? c'mon be real. Your resume is by no means comparable so talk to me when something changes. I would again like to reiterate my earlier point because it is a very valid one.

I would say the win I was speaking of is very comparable because it was the last game they played before the national championship, meaning LSU was in good late season form. My Razorbacks did what your beloved pride of the Big Ten could not. All it proves it that the level of competition is the SEC is incredibly high. The good news for you is that you don't have to see an SEC team in a bowl again this year. The bad news is there is no way you can keep up with Oregon on the offensive side of the ball.

Do I think the Buckeyes are overrated? Yes, I do. Did I claim to have the resume the Buckeye's have. No I did not. I didn't imply to have your resume, I just had to point out that you trivialized my team and we defeated the team you could not. Will I forsake my team because you insulted them? Never.

Oh and by the way, you ARE having a discussion with me, so obviously my point warrants a response. Had you said nothing you would have proven your own point.

Last thought....wasn't your attitude towards Florida the exact same as you are showing me now (insignificant)? How dare those Gators talk to you because we all know they didn't have your resume, your record, or your hype. I bet their comments didn't warrant responses either?! How did that work out for you? I mean I guess I could throw the name Purdue around a little too, but that would just be cruel.

Actually the last game LSU played that year before the National Championship was Tennessee in the SEC Championship Game.

Arkansas and LSU always seem to be pretty close games at least in my recent memory. It has turned into a pretty good rivalry.

I stand corrected. Last regular season game.

Anybody want to put money on who the next "real coach" is for ND? I have a top 3, but you really can't tell until its done. Money talks...I say they step back and get the best fit. Not rushing like they did with Weis. Flex your muscles and money, and go get the coach you want, and can get the d@mn job done.

Welcome to the neighborhood. What brings you up here?

I can't say that I personally have any specific ideas how we can have a better system, I like the playoff idea, but think it may need to be some kind of hybrid bowl/playoff system. Either way, BCS gots to go.

XOM moved me up here for an economist job.
Where do you lift?

I got a 30 a month dealt at the Clarendon Gold's.
Will likely join there. But want to see if there is a better gym.

Never.

I didn't trivialize Arkansas at all quite the contrary my comments were in response to your constant inflammatory remarks about my Buckeyes and the reality is I could put up total wins, BCS bowls, BCS wins, any stat you want that denotes success and it would put the Razorbacks to shame. Your best player was a Wolverine who played my Buckeyes, how did he fair? If I talk you out of rooting for your team I would lose all respect and again I think your team is decent but you have made a lot of statements expressing Razorback superiority and all I'm saying is "c'mon man"

Nah I didn't say that about UF at all, i was a lone Buckeye voice telling all my fellow Ohioans that Florida was a good football team and we should not take them lightly, as is usually the case I was right. Upsets happen the Purdue thing is a black mark on another good season. I make no excuses we sucked that day. The thing that upsets me most is where we would be in terms of BCS ranking had we won that game. Our only loss would be to USC by a couple of points, we would be right in the thick of things enough to make guys like you nervous thinking if a few teams lose we might have to deal with Ohio State in another NC game. Noooooooo! Man that upsets me not having that fun! oh well the system is what it is and like it or not we'll be back!! :rasp:

Oh and by the way, you ARE having a discussion with me, so obviously my point warrants a response. Had you said nothing you would have proven your own point.

Wow... I agree with everything in that post. Well, except for the Stoops to ND part. Don't think that'll happen.

And while I love the fact that Bama and Florida are playing each other in a conference championship, this is the second year in a row that game has bailed out the BCS.:grumpy:

I lift at my work, either in our back spaces where we have a rag tag set up or at the base gym. I work on Bolling AFB/Naval Station Anacostia. It's free for me so it's kind of a good deal.
