As for a dominate conference, there isn't any. The SEC is solid at best. Take away Florida and their bogus schedule, and the SEC only has Alabama as a legitiment contender for the NC. After watching the Florida/Tennesse game i would put Ohio st and Penn State on the field with them now. But lets make it more interesting, have the game on a field north of the mason-dixon line in January. We'll see who is talkin $hit then.:laugh2:

No SEC team will come up north any later than October 31st, it ain't gonna happen ever. Florida will win the SEC they are better than Bama, whether they play for the NC depends on when there loss happens, and it always does 103 years and counting they have lost at least once. I suspect this year will be no different.

Pittsburgh Steelers, Superbowl champs, opened their season with Tennessee Titans, a team who beat them in the regular season. My oh my Trauma1, god forbid if Florida opened up with ...(i cant say it without laughing)...OL MISS.

It's cool man I was equally frustrated last week although for different reasons. My Buckeyes looked better than I thought they would today. I grew up in Toledo, I no longer live there but I still follow the Rockets with some interest and they had scored 85 points in 2 games against major conference teams and I told everyone all week that they would give my beloved Buckeyes all they wanted. I'm glad I was wrong.

As for the sentence structure, its a goddam forum...i see many run on sentences on here, who cares? i do however find it amusing how a college educated supplement rep, who is a "wanna-be" doctor or medic, can not spell delusional...for christ's sake, thats a common word in the medical practice.

Nebraska's inability to keep V-Tech out of the end zone on their final series will keep me in 2nd place. I did pick the Oregon and Clemson wins... but I rolled the dice on Arizona, Oregon State and Arkansas.

Texas looks like T-total crap. Colt looks unenthusiastic to say the least. They only have 120 yards of total offense at halftime against the Red Raiders... who aren't exactly known for their brutal defense. And this is supposed to be a revenge game. Unless the Longhorns score 30+ in the second half, they look way over-rated.

The Big 12 looks like they've slipped a bit this year. After today, 4 of their top 5 teams will have a loss three weeks into the season.

Few thoughts:

Sparty's QB flat blew it. Dear God that was bad. They had the game tied and he has to make a throw into double coverage?

LOL at FSU blowing out BYU. Says what I thought - they are a good team and shouldn't have dropped out of the polls after we beat them.
Looks like a possible rematch in Tampa for the ACC title. But they are so inconsistant - you never know with FSU.

Thank God we don't have to hear from either BYU or Utah. Tired of hearing from them as far as the BCS title game.

Maryland = dead. Period. Lost to MTSU. That's Middle TN State U.
May be Big Man's last year in College Park, MD.

Tyrod Taylor is what I thought he was. I feel good about next Saturday for the Canes. But big win for VT.

Most conferences plays non-conference games in the midst of there conference schedule. You should know this as your Crimson Tide are hosting that football power house Tennessee Chattanooga Nov. 21st. Do you need me to explain to you that Nov. 21st is smack dab in the middle of SEC conference play?

Initially, UT-Chattanooga was scheduled as Bama's homecoming game. It was later changed to S. Carolina. But yeah, I won't comment on your team's game against that powerhouse New Mexico State during the same month.

Now will they? Of course they won't, they have to continue that storied rivalry with Tennessee Chattanooga.

Do you really want to challenge Bama's schedule? Ohio State can only brag on a home loss to a less-than-stellar USC team who was beaten by Washington. Alabama plays in the best conference in college football... one with a championship game. That means playing Florida if they get past LSU, Ole Miss, and a string of others who could smash 8 out of 11 Big Ten squads. The Tide put in a bid to play V-Tech... just like they did last year, when everyone was sucking on Clemson's schlong. I'd hardly say Navy is a team that gains one respect... and OSU barely got past them.

The Big Ten just flat-out sucks... but you know that.
 
Btw, BUCKNUTS... when you see the polls tomorrow, check out the teams at #s 1, 3, 5, and 7. Make a note of what conference they play in.
