1ifeblood gets lean with Compound 20 + OxyElite PRO

bro you definately still look housed! your at a great place for a cut/recomp/whatever the hell you young'ens are calling it nowadays!

make that batsignal fly my friend!

Squats day... Didn't have a LOT of motivation going in but it had to be done. Went out for my cousin's bday party Saturday night and flooded my body with toxins. Sleep wasn't the greatest either. Combine that with the dehydration one suffers after a night of such festivities, and you can see why I had a hard time. But I dug deep and made something of the day.

Squats
190x3
220x3
245x7
*Went deeper than usual and kept each rep slow and controlled

Hyper-extensions
35x10
35x9
35x9
BWx10
*paused at bottom to negate body swing and squeezed at the top. Hit the low back/hamstrings nicely.

One-leg Press
90x10
90x10
90x10

Cable Crunch
100x8
85x10
70x10
*As I dropped the weight I concentrated more on getting a full stretch through the abs and squeezed hard through the concentric.

Cardio-treadmill
5 min walk
5 min jog
5 min walk
5 min jog

Nice work Brother Blood!

I've decided to change my routine. I just feel like I get more out of pushing my limits rather than stopping short of failure. So I'm going more towards 5x5 on main compounds lifts (Bench, squats, overhead press, deads) each lift will be followed by an isolated exercise of 8x8 with 60 second rest intervals, and finishing off with 3x12 of a more isolated, full stretching exercise at a 4-2-4 tempo. It's the same routine i've been doing for those who have been following along in my previous threads.

Go for it!

This Week has been great in the gym! Wednesday I focused on chest and got pumped the fûck up! Today was back and I can say my performance is on another level. I'm back to where I feel like I can do set after set with the same intensity. And I recover from my sets a lot faster! I can do a set to failure and in 30 seconds I'm ready to go!

I got asked if I lost weight yesterday. I've noticed that I look more trim in my dress shirts too. My weight might not be changing much but I do think a lot of what I'm losing is bf so the little bit I lose makes a big difference visually.

Next week I'll be starting the program I outlined earlier. I've sorta been doing it this week but mosso I've been playing around with different exercises to see what fits together the best for what I'm trying to do.

Here's a quick PoWO shot with some pumpage but no flex. I honestly didn't realize I had that kind of definition in my back! I know it's not on par with with a lot of you sexy beasts, but as far as my back goes, it's never been something worth noticing.

Looking sexy stud muffin!

It only gets better from here!

Just from what I can see in the picture I'd say you look leaner.

Thanks Class! I'll put up another update Sunday morning with pics that will reflect changes better.

Weight is holding at 197. Considering that my diet hasn't been the greatest this week (not real bad either) I was actually glad to see that my weight hadn't changed. Also Snapped a couple pics to compare to the ones from last week.

Coming along nicely Sir!

you are so really really really ridiculously good looking.

Lol! There's more to life than being really really really ridiculously good looking, and I'm gonna find out what that is.

lol

Update for the week...OxyElite is treating me nicely! Considering the fact that my diet hasn't been the greatest, I'm still leaning out! I sorta allowed myself this month to be lax on my diet but more strict than I had been during my bulk. But that is coming to an end after this weekend. Super Bowl party on Sunday and then it's nose to the grindstone (whatever that really means...Kleen?). Regardless, every calorie will be accounted for, macros will be set, workout will be spot on... Basically, it's gonna be sexy-making time!

I was fairly surprised with my deadlifts today... pulled 315 from the floor 3 times pretty easily without straps, could've gotten 5 but I hadn't done deads in awhile so didn't want to push it. But the last time I tried 315 without straps it was a true 1rm that took everything I had. So pretty happy about that!

I'll update weight on Sunday morning and finish up this log next Sunday with pics and measurements.

Okay Origin of statement time!

My initial thought was something to do with the work ethic, intent and focus of someone who uses a grindstone for sharpening or shaping things. They need to pay attention to the detail and not lose focus of the task at hand or it could be dangerous or the work could suffer greatly. Upon looking it up for you I found this...

Milling Theory

The theory that the phrase "keep your nose to the grindstone," comes from the fact that millers would sniff the stone to make sure that the flour wasn't burning as the stone would have a burnt scent.

Evidence Against the Milling Theory

However, it seems that the milling theory does not work. Millers did use stones, but they were not usually called grindstones. As early as 1400, the line, "Ther was gryndulstones in gravy, And mylstones in mawmany" was printed in Tournament Totenham . The Middle English is difficult to interpret, but it points to evidence that there was a difference between grindstones and millstones. The millstones were the ones used in milling.

Knife Sharpening Evidence

Knife sharpeners were known to have to stay at the work stations. The work stations were at grindstones for sharpening the knives. The phrase, "keep your nose to the grindstone," implies having to do work. Knife sharpeners were known to have to do hard labor and were sometimes punished.

While it is not certain that they literally had their noses put to the grindstone, the phrase may have originated from that type of punishment. In 1532, " This Text holdeth their noses so hard to the grindstone, that it clean disfigureth their faces" was written by John Frith in A mirrour or glasse to know thyselfe ."

Good to hear you're enjoying the OxyELITE Pro. How is it doing for you in the appetite suppression department? Now that you'll have your diet strict I think you'll really start seeing some results.

Appetite is pretty suppressed. Other than aminos with OJ PrWO and protein shake PoWO I don't actually feel like eating until 11ish. And I wake up at 5am so that's a good long while. I have a pretty decent sized meal for that first one which I take one dose of c20 with. A couple hours later I take my second dose of OEP and an hour after that I eat again with my 2nd dose of c20. A majority of the carbs I take in are with those first two meals then it's mostly protein and veggies the rest of the day. I don't really get hungry in between meals but it's not like I have to force myself to eat either. Very happy with the effects!

Oh and weight this morning was 195.2, almost 2 lbs down from last week. We are definitely moving in the right direction!

This week DOMS has been unreal. It feels like I haven't worked out in months! I don't know why this would all of a sudden hit me do hard. Any chance this is a result of the C20?

I've been known to suffer symptoms of this in the past. Thank you for offering the insight...I knew I could count on you! :-D

Increased muscle soreness isn't something that is commonly reported as a direct result of Compound 20 use. Perhaps being in a caloric deficit is having an impact on your recovery?

Maybe...But I can't say I've experienced this with previous cuts. I certainly don't mind it. If there's something going on that's causing my muscles to respond better to my workouts, I'm all for it. Add long as that's what's happening. If I'm just getting sore but getting the same results...well that would just suck.

Well then tell yourself that is not the case... Obviously you are getting results, and awesome ones damn it! Visualize the win, visualize the growth and believe it is happening. Do not underestimate the power of the mind in producing results. Keep going at it with the excitement the thought of this synergy gives you and put it to use! Remember the Placebo effect proves the power of the mind is strong and shouldn't be seen as a bad thing.

Oh I'm a strong believer in the power of the mind and biofeedback. I believe you can make anything happen if you will it to be so. And I've seen it happen time and time again. When I'm sore I imagine my muscles swollen and the blood flooding the fibers, rejuvenating and rebuilding the cells to become bigger and stronger. I like this visual.

Well isn't that dandy! Just be sure to still get in your scheduled meals and veggies.

I love visualization. Not sure about you, but I tend to do it without actually trying. In show prep during cardio I would always imagine the experience of being on stage, the crowd roaring, the view from the audience as vividly as possible. I like your close up image of blood flooding the muscles as they swell.

I've done biofeedback practices that allow you to control the rate of your heart just through visualization. For 60 seconds close your eyes and visualize your most relaxed setting...the beach, in bed, a garden...whatever relaxes you the most. After 60 seconds take your heart rate. Now fur the next 60 seconds visualize a stressful situation...swimming from sharks, running from a vicious dog, doing your taxes ;-)...now take your heart rate and compare. You can control a lot more than just your heart rate through visualization. You can control your life.

Yesterday was pretty hectic with my son's swim meet sectionals. Started early and went all day so I didn't weigh in or take measurements. But first thing tomorrow morning I'll post up.

Nice examples on the visualization and sounds like you had a busy day yesterday. I had a lounging day myself.

Alright folks...got an update for yas. Now I didn't take measurements cuz quite frankly, I was too lazy to. BUT...I think you can see by my pics that there has been some nice improvements in just 4 weeks. Weigh in was 193.7 (just under 5lbs less than when I started).

You're always wanting me to put stuff in my ass...But that probably won't happen until this fall. Of course these things can change at any time.

Seems like you have made good steady progress over the course of this log! So will you be continuing the cut now or moving into a bulk? Any final comments on the products and how/if you feel they helped you?

I'll definitely be continuing my cut. Add I move into March, I will continue to cut calories and drop carbs, still allowing for refeeds. I definitely appreciate the appetite suppression and mood elevation of the OxyElite Pro. Dropping calories and restricting the foods you like (especially after bulking) is tough to do and tends to make me moody...but I didn't have that so much over the last several weeks. I'd say it made the transition (physical and mental) a lot smoother. I didn't feel anxiety or jitters from taking it either, though I am fairly stim tolerant so others might find it effects them more so. For me, I could feel when the OEP kicked in, but it was by no means uncomfortable. I will definitely continue to utilize this product in the future!

The Compound 20 was a little different for me. I could definitely feel "something" happening whenever I took it. The only thing I can describe it as is a mild aggression. I seemed to get more impatient with people but then there's a lot of other factors that could be doing that to me...winter is not my favorite season and my job has been less than satisfactory. I think I might have seen its effects more clearly had I been carrying less body fat. I'll have to give it a go this summer to get a real good read of what it's doing for me. I did seem to get a more intense onset of DOMS after taking it for a couple weeks. Whether this is an effect of C20 or not I don't know...guess I'll have to see if it happens again this summer.
