Well, remember being "healthy" and being big and lean do not always go hand in hand. I'm trying to be as big and lean as possible. Over the years as I've increased training intensity, built muscle and been consistent I've MADE my body accept more carbs. It's all about nutritional set up. I used to very strong in low carb game. However, you can listen to everyone and their brother on what's "optimal" but they're not you, you and you. You have to experiment with what works best for you.
I've been doing this for about 13years and I'm finally figuring it out. Keep and open mind and stay consistent with things for 3-4 months before you decide if it works or not. No quick fix in this game.
