My step dad wants to bulk, but doesnt know much about losing weight. Were starting the 40 day work out from T-Nation just to get started. What type of diet should i use? And im a total beginner, so i dont know much about this.

But pretty much, diet for cutting and bulking should be the same, EXCEPT for the amount of calories consumed daily (i.e. cutting - less than maintenance for the majority; bulking - more than maintenance).
