Herder, have you tried voodoo flossing and performing the bench movement? I feel like it has been helpful thus far.

That's the one thing I haven't tried. I definitely want to try sleeving higher on the bicep now that it's been brought up.

Mom benched 85 for 2 today and probably would've done more if she didn't think being explosive were so HILARIOUS. Like wtf? She can't squat to depth, but she can sit on the bench like a box squat almost to depth. That's gonna take some figuring. I'm guessing she's a puller, she works like a man and it wouldn't shock me to see her deadlift in the low 2s right off the bat. Not that I'm going to have her try. I'm thinking she gets a steady dose of Stronglifts 5x5. She was doing body pump but her work schedule and location just changed, so she's going to do cardio before work and weights with me.
 
I've had the privilege of mommaHerder videotaping my sets. Unfortunately, I failed, I hope she can still look me in the eyes.

That's awesome. The SSB has been helping my wife learn form...maybe try that. Awesome mom bro.
 
I'm still trying to get her to do air squats with her hands in front. I gotta teach her to brace. I'm thinking push ups would be a good thing too.

Have her sit on a box and show her were to put the legs and stand up. Meantime you voodoo floss and all is well in the herder home in the great city of Pittsburg :)

Haha just playing. Good stuff when family wants to learn. Kelly Starret was talking about even kids should learn proper movement on Mark Bell's podcast. I only heard the highlights but man was he making amazing points.

Ha, I thought I was too. I took 2.5 scoops of stimulate, way too much. I was light headed as fuark and the weight about made me pass out.

Appreciate it.

You guys thought you were getting out of my usual long-winded commentary?? Fuggedaboutit!

Everything was lightning. I was frighteningly tempted to see what I could do today, but I stuck to the plan. Not a single belt was worn on this day, so that was pretty awesome.

Also, Nose Tork is very strong. I popped one and took a light whiff from a safe distance. Nothing. Got it closer to my head and hit it like I meant it and WHAM. Next thing I know, somebody shoved a pencil or an ice pick or a chopstick up my nose. And it was GO TIME.

Wraps and tork came today. Wraps are awesome. Three meters is a lot of meters. I'm going to have to play with that on Sunday to see how I like them.
 
I see some areas where I need to clean up my short shorts game (tan, fatness, shorts choices), but I like the idea of cutting off some jean shorts a la 90s bodybuilders. Some things to consider.

Oh, they weren't going anywhere. I just see some room for improvement. I'll never forget the one time we were doing farmers in the yard and I had my shorts rolled up. One of my neighbors worked with Lamonster and she stopped to say hi. He came back and told me that she said to him "My GOD, his legs are HUGE!"
 
After a maddening layoff, we get back at it today. Safety bar squatting up to a couple HEAVY ASS 5s, unless I get up to 425 and can get more (I highly doubt it). Today is wave 2 rep day, so that would be 80% x 2-3 x 4-8. Gonna try out my new wraps, even though my back strength will likely be the limiting factor. Gonna skip fronts to save the bicep/forearm, and gonna add in Ox lifts. Today there will be vids!

Brutal day. Lots of hard work done, lots of PRs set. Did not get the promised videos, but rest assured, we killed it. Hips were hurting at the beginning, so I moved my stance out a little and everything went nicely. Most likely going to use the safety bar next week for heavy stuff. Not sure about pressing tomorrow or the next day. I'll have to try it out and see. Squatting is still going absolutely swimmingly.
 
Thanks guys. Biceps tendon hasn't been sore at all yesterday or today. No sense rushing it. I should probably have gotten some Joint Help, though. Just to expedite the repair process.

Taking an epsom salt bath as we speak, because the only thing those ox lifts work is the lumbar spine. Not even erectors, just spine. I hit a single with 155 on my back and 225 in my hands and dropped the bar right on the pins. I don't see the carryover, so I won't be including them in the future. Nothing a GM can't take better care of. Also wasn't thinking straight on my first set with 425, I got held up an inch high and rather than opening my knees and pulling myself to depth, I tried to scrunch my back down to depth. Like I said, not thinking straight.

Can't wait to safety squat some doubles with 465 next week!
 
Take 3G MSM and Cissus if you already don't.
 
I need to pick something up. Funds are going to be low this week, but I'll do it up next week. Think I'd see any relief by like three and a half weeks?
 
Nice. That'd be most excellent if I could hit up a big bench or two at the meet and really push that total in the right direction.
 
Order some Cissus XT, and pick up Glucosamine/MSM at Costco and you'll definitely see help if its inflammation related.
 
Damn injectable circumin? When I worked at GNC we had people come in all the time raving about what circumin did for them. Not that they ever took cissus. Then there was a glucosamine/chondroitin/MSM product. I see no mention of chondroitin on the forum, is it not worth a crap? I wouldn't spend GNC money on stuff anyway when I could get it at sams or costco.

Injectable? Know a guy who swears by it.

I believe due to the horrid absorption the anti inflammatory properties do not pass the gut. Granted meriva and biocumin(or just bioperine) seem to help some, but probably not enough to fix joints.

Not really aiming at you, just elaborating from Sean's question, to your answer, to this.

I like cissus, and joint help for extra. Love joint force(although kind of pricey long term use). I need to mess with MSM solo and check it out again.

I'm just going to bomb my joints with stuff and then take a 400lb third bench attempt. Get video of me flailing and kicking my feet with the bar halfway through my sternum, but with no biceps tendon pain. I'm ok with all of that.
 
Topical celadrin I also found helpful.

Glucosamine/chondroitin are more so joint protective from my understanding, rather than dealing w/ inflammation. I was recommended MSM for muscle inflammation and think it's helped with my chronic QL injury.
