1 meal vs 3 vs 6

I wish there was a button on this forum, sort of like the "thank" button, except when I clicked it, instead of it saying "liked this post", it kicked you in the dick. I seriously would press that **** 20x a day on here.

Yea I was talking about carbs not calories..my bad.. but my post was 300 carbs in a day, not at one sitting.. and that is not that ridiculous.. your calzone that u ate today probably had 300 carbs..

300 might be a little high though don't ya think? I would venture to guess that a calzone would be on the higher end of the spectrum of fat not carbs...

That's a spaghetti calzone which has way more carbs than just a meat calzone (pasta). F me though dude mine may have been closer 1500 1800 lmao!!!!

Let me give you one example.If you eat 3 meals a day and you eat your meal at 1 o clock and you go gym and 5 o clock you will not be hungry and have less power?That's what i have see.And dont refer all the time about searches and searches.Human is a unique living spiece so you cant be absolutely right.Everyone is diferent.

Whats stopping me from eating at 3pm or 4pm? ;)

As I said, its not that you are wrong, but eating 6 meals works for some and eating 3 works for some just as eating 10 might work for some. As you said, we are all individual and its best to just eat when you feel hungry haha

2 and a half of those calzones is just about 300 carbs not that much to chow in one day IMO... Not for me anyway...And I thought you said CLEAN carbs earlier...calzones ain't that clean

On topic, 300g of carbs isn't all that much in a sitting. I have probably done 2-2.5x that in a sitting. I mean not something I will do everyday, but on a refeed or something.

300 carbs for me on a refeed..is no problem at all..:D

A lot. I was also really lean. That said it was MUCH more than I needed, but I enjoyed it, and it was a huge mental break. That can be very important when dieting.

I would gain almost 20lbs from the time I woke up until I went to bed, and hold onto about 10-12 the next couple days.

I think both are just as good, i used to eat 6 meals a day but that can be a pain and feels like all i do is cook, i prefer the 3 meals and add homemade shakes greek yog things like that in between as long as you keep track of everything your fine there is no wrong answer

Yeah 3 meals & 2-3 snacks does the trick.
A Greek yogurt and 2 slices of cheese packs 24g of protein, 20g of carbs, 5-7g of fat & 260 calories.

8 oz plain greek. Sargento jack cheese stick and a glass milk. 39 pro. 26 carb. 22 fat.

I do that with milk sometimes...
I have bigger meals though.
What I do is try not to go over 50-60g of fat a day...
I had a peanut butter and banana sandwich on whole for breakfast with milk...
So gotta watch the fats, don't want to over do it. :D

50-60g ? Dang.. i get between 90-120g but my carbs dont go over 250g

I just upped to a slow bulk protocol on LG and i now eat 410g carbs 5 days a week ill taylor it based on what occurs with body comp
 
Comes down to activity.. 6 small meals would be better for an thlete and/or athletic person, 3 meals, or 6 meals is fine for a bodybuilder, and 1 meal in my opinion is practically IF (intermittent fasting) and is not something that should be done long term I reckon, just every know and again, like if you were doing IF or the Warrior diet to get super lean.. would not F with it over the long haul... but then again depends on lifestyle/activity etc.. I know one guy who works as a blue collar all day and then comes home to one large meal and he says he prefers it following the Warrior diet, but all "diet trends" seem to have a catch imo..

Hey guys,

I know traditional knowledge is that you want to eat 6 meals a day throughout the day. I've seen around places that are now saying this is not true.. and that 1 or 2 or 3 is just as good? I was talking to a friend of mine who is all into nutrition and they were shocked I would even say such a thing, they were like no, it's science you should be eating ideally 6 times a day. By the way I generally do but just out of habit.

Could someone point me in the right direction of where this new line of thought that says 1,2, or 3 is just as good as 6 is discussed or science behind it?
