I'm gonna throw a curveball here and ask if this is in fact for fat loss why has nobody mentioned clenbuterol? Much easier to get and much more effective imho
You can make some do it yourself handles from PVC pipe and some chains... I'm sure you could find a way to attach the sandbags to those.
I don't see anything wrong with lifting them like that but your grip is going to give out alot sooner than with handles
Never did zercher squats but I used to do alot of zercher good mornings... I liked those and I've always likened the zercher squat to front squats. Why not change it up?

Thanks for the advice. I agree and I think my diet and sleep has been out of whack enough to cause this. I'm gonna rest. Lay off the heavy compounds (minus) benching and focus on dialing in my macros and getting adequate sleep.
I agree completely. I'm going to see someone on Wednesday and request an mri possibly. I know I shouldn't take this lightly especially since it's not the first time... not to sound cliche but I've been lifting long enough, took enough a&p /various trainer certs, and certainly squatted enough...
I'm more concerned with WHY it happened. No bruising so I'm gonna make a humble assumption that it was a strain and not a tear.
Given the amount of warmup and the fact I didn't feel like I was over exerting myself how the he'll did this happen?
Putting the physiology aside, I think what pausing at any portion in the lift does is make us more conscious of our form. Better form translates into better lifts translates into strength.
At least its always been that way for me.
