Jimothy's Back (and worse than ever)

See what you can rep 275 for on bench, or maybe just triple it. THEN next week take 315. You’ll probably be stronger after a week acclimating to heavy weight on a lift you haven’t been working that requires stabilization. Also, glad you’re breathing! You know you can just pop in here to post...

    Weights up, scales down…

When you just take a PR after already working everything else solidly, you know that some serious basal strength increase has taken place! Nice work 👊 And if you needed any more evidence that you should just keep doing what you have been, I can’t think of a better example.

    Building Back Up

When I was ~20 I read some outdated study that alleged when they gave guys on Nandrolone a bunch of D3 they made more gains than the group on Nandrolone only. So at that point I said to myself, “I’m getting on this D3 stuff TODAY!”🤣

    Building Back Up

Not currently, but that’s a great point: everyone has different needs AND responds differently to supplementation. I don’t work outside or make it a point to get CONSISTENT minimum sun exposure, and I have found through years of bloodwork that 5,000iu/day my levels tend to fall, and over...

    Building Back Up

Probably once a year for real, plus a couple times I get a little crud snot from my son that seems to go away in 48 hours and never actually sets in. So multiple times, but seems like my immune system has been solid this last year or two. I do take 1-2g NAC on off days typically, Life Extension...

That’s what it is - shiny object syndrome. We’ve all experienced it, but man “shock the muscles” was just the worst justification for it that sent so many the wrong way!

DaPack..Fighting Age One Day at a Time

I thought you were going to say only 5 you were unhappy with! Sounds like you have no idea what you want/need. Jump in place. Look where your feet land naturally. That’s a reasonably strong width for you. Now try to bring your feet in a hair. Point your toes just slightly outwards. With bar...

I feel Rose is slightly less spicy than Carbonara, and way better. Extra Creamy Carbonara is the least spicy, and also delicious. A lot of stores sell only a few types at a time, so you might need to Google what in your area has what if you’re looking for a particular one.

    Anabolic memes

The muscle shock myth is such a bastardization of the stimulus of novelty. Doing more work (progressive overload) has always worked. And when you can’t do more total work, THEN novelty is required.

Yes and no. I try to cap Saturated Fats to 24g or so, but not absolute fats - rather I cap calories. So if I’m shooting for 650 carbs minimum, ~4k cals, and watch my saturated fats, then I know I am accomplishing the goal. I also try to get 180g protein minimum, which basically happens...

    Segansational's Motivation Log

There’s a lot to unpack on the subject of the anabolic additions but I’ll try to be concise. TRT is test replacement that gets you in a physiological optimal range. Whether optimal is defined by numbers, feeling, or absolute best bloodwork is subjective/depends on who you talk to. But if your...

    Segansational's Motivation Log

Basically, don’t worry about it. All of the minerals do compete for absorption. BUT it just seems the body finds a way to get and take what it really needs. So getting it in “suboptimally” remains optimal almost all of the time. I mean coaches a lot smarter than me have said as much, just...

That’s the thing - the Buldaks are “unhealthy”, but a couple packs of ramen on ONE day per week of an otherwise legitimate bodybuilding and heart-healthy cutting diet in my context is not going to be a problem. There’s no fast food or even restaurant stuff in there. If the diet is 85-90%...

Okay now I’m convinced you are a bot. All of your replies sound like generic AI bot-scraped scare caution. Gilbert’s syndrome is by definition harmless. It’s a slower breakdown of bilirubin based on genetics.

    Hyde’s Strength Odyssey

Sweating when you are hydrated or holding excess water is one thing, but during a cut when already dry fasting and stripped of electrolytes the sauna is purely stressful (and ultimately dangerous without educated moderation). That’s like comparing a 5k to a marathon. One improves health; the...

    NPP or EQ

FWIW I was diagnosed 15 years ago with Gilbert’s Syndrome and the few times I’ve used a couple hundred mg of EQ never seen liver values budge on bloods. I do see my blood thicken and have estradiol lower with EQ. Just N=1 firsthand experience. Experimenting with bloodwork is all someone can do.
