Ran out of time this AM. My goal is to put some hypertrophy/accessory work in after. Was originally thinking of doing some seated chest press or seated machine flys. Is machine press too similar?
Machine press would be fine, and something similar is okay, you just want to get the extra volume in. Like machine presses 4 x 10, maybe some close grip bench 5 x 10….close grip bench really helps...

So the thing with a deload is that it must be easy enough to shed fatigue - so far under recoverability that the body can catch up & heal.
Some people eat more than usual, some less, but I don’t...
@Hyde is far better at regulating fatigue than I am, but I think I'm finally getting better.
My only thought is that your working weeks and your 'deload' week basically calculate out to the same...
